If you're truck has it then it ain't stock.

The small block V8's both came with the pig snout duct that bolts to the top of the grill and pulls air from the gap between the hood and the grill. Trust me.

No, they won't. It's getting worse, but it's been a long time since you could actually get exactly what you wanted from Ford. Friend ordered an F-350 new in '95, probably gave the salesman a migraine he STILL hasn't recovered from. But he got stuck with features he didn't exactly want, to get features he did. (E.G.- He likes electric locks, but not electric windows. They come together. So now he can't close the windows without having the ignition key with him.)

I only bought one vehicle new. I had a choice of several outside colors, two inside colors (didn't get the seat I wanted), and a few "packages" as far as extra stuff. I choose the XLT. Less garbage I didn't want and a few things I did.

I did choose the engine (only 2 or 3 options), manual hubs, manual t-case, AC, no power windows, no power locks, no cruise, no tilt.

Really there was not many choices at all.

To a degree, yes. But no manufacturer is going to allow you to choose what style intake duct you want.

It's like saying I want the driver's side to have power locks and windows, but I want the passenger's side to have manual locks and windows. No manufacturer is going to put together a vehicle like that for you.

I'd have it going the other way, myself- I can reach the driver's door a lot easier than the passenger's. Matter of fact, my aunt's truck is like that- it's got electric locks, but the button on the driver's door only makes the passenger's door lock/unlock. I like it just fine.

LOL!! In that case, perhaps I can ask them to install a red glove box on a gray dash, and the intake manifold off of a lightning on a stock 351... Should be fine right?

With PLENTY of cupholders...and grabber green XLT trim......Back in the 70'sI beleive you could order it with anything you wanted...though a narrow road still new to the world features........It wouldn't surprise me however if Ford slipped some overstock airhorns onto different engines because they were layin around...hell they did it with solenoids....

As for just ordering air duct considering it was not a package type thing and the benifits from it where really Noticed by general public. Not really . But things happen
