Got the 72 running with a carb rebuild, points and condenser and a wheel cylinder on a left front. Drives like new ( except for the square tires) no rattles or squeaks. The paint really cleaned up nice.
Looking for help about my new 1972 ranger xlt. There is no paint code on data plate and the ford paint color’s available in 1972 don’t show black. Any ideas why this truck is like this?

Started cleaning up the engine bay and tackled the rusted out battery tray. As a fix someone in the past welded a steel plate in the tray. Problem with that is you can't get to the two bolts under it. Had to grind off the welds to remove it...
