My truck has the 302 in it, it has stock exhaust manifolds and the leak started in the summer and it sounded like it was only on one cylinder... now its just horrible and it sounds like complete crap. Whats the common cause for these leaks..?? Gasket, Warping, Donuts?
So I am starting to look at a new trucks to buy this summer. I plan on getting a 1996-97 f250 or f350 for my business. One thing I knoticed was that the trucks with the 5.8 351 did not have MAF?? Why is that when the 150's had it after 95??
ya i had to lift the motor!! but i didnt have to remove the trans crossmember insted i just unbolted the oil pump and pick-up tube to give myself the extra clearance i needed..
Well my oil pan rusted out the other week so I brought the truck into auto to change it. OOOMMGGG what a HUGE JOB!! I had to rip the WHOLE upper intake off and the exhaust off and the oil pump and pick up tube! If you ever have to change it give yourself plenty of time!! All in all the job is...
There is NO hubs on these year trucks. The CV axles are always spinning, there is a vacuum actuator in the middle that disengages the axle from the front diff.
They shouldnt move at all. the hub is COMPLETLY disengauged from the axle shafts. Well at least every truck ive seen never spin, even when going down the highway..
Its leaking for the axle seals i believe. But its not bad, never drips its just kinda wet up there. The fluid has only went down like a 1/4 inch sense the beginning of winter, and my hubs are always locked in. (unless i go down the highway)
LOL I parked like this at a VERY expensive restaurant for my grandpas b-day! Everyone in my family got a kick outta it. Guess that it what happens when u give ur keys to the valet guy.. lmaosmilieneenarO BTW thought all of you would like to know my front valence didn't make it ONE DAY after...
My first question is what type of fluid do I use in my transfer case? Is it just trans fluid or gear oil? My second question is what weight lube do I use for my front axle?? My front axle has a SLIGHT leak so i just am gonna top it off. OO BTWW I put 33's on my truck Ill get pics for you all...
So I got my hands on a intake off of a 5.0 H.O. today in auto shop. Is this intake worth putting on my truck?? Or is it even possible? The single throttle body has me a little conserned. I am planning on taking all my emmision crap off of my truck when (if) i change this intake.
HAHA ok one more question lol. I am buying a plow off of a 1991 f150 and I was wondering if the frames are the same up front (with, height)?? A major concern is if they have the crumple zone up front also??
I have a company around me that uses dodge 2500 ALL with automatic trannnys and they all have temp gauges and they NEVER have problems overheating at all....
So basically this can be done? Even if i have to fab some stuff up.... I really dont want the front tanks anyways just takes up room and i will NEVER need more than 25 gallons!
ya so im still kinda confused? lol but another thing i forgot to menchin is that there is that line that runs form the TB into that black box on the front framerail and then from there is goes all the way back to the front tank?? What is that?
Well Im kinda in a little pinch here lol. My rear gas tank has a SMALL hole in it so it needs to be replaced. BUT now the straps that hold the front tank in are starting to give way because there so rusty. So what i was wondering is if i could just replace my rear tank, and just take my front...
OPPS!! made a mistake the 7.3L from 93-94 is turbocharged! I am sorry for corrrecting you when i was wrong now i feel really dumb lol!So I will be getting a pic of the motor tomorrow hopefully one of you can teel me if its the IDI or the powerstroke!
Nope there was the 7.3l IDI witch was NOT turbocharged and like half way through 94 they switched over to the 7.3l powerstroke which was the turbocharged diesel.
I am looking at a 1994 f250 diesel 4x4 manual trans. How can i tell if its a "turbo" diesel without actually looking at the truck. I have the pictures of the truck is there anyway i can tell without seeing the motor? Could i use the VIN to tell if it is or not??
Well it seems like I keep getting more and more snow accounts, I just had 3 neighbors ask me to take care of there driveways this winter, plus my three $5,000 accounts. So I am now looking for a new truck. I really want a 350 but there still pretty expensive so what I would like to know is...
Well filled my tank up with premium the other day and today i borrowed a timing light and set it to 16* (please don't start asking about the spout connector because I know what i am doing) AND OMG!!! What a difference i almost crapped my pants the first time i took off!! a lot more power and...
