Thanks Bill, The truck had the original paint still on it when I got it so I doubt the fenders were changed. GVW is 10,000 and it never had sway bars from what I can see. The under side of the truck is very clean and original and shows no sign of them ever being there. Could it have been ordered...
I think my truck (might be) a trailer special, the reason I think this is that every super camper special I've seen has the chrome trim package as well as sway bars and overload springs. Mine has none of these options but has the 140" wb with the side mounted spare. If anyone has a "plain jane"...
Unless your going to paint everything to make it look "show quality" I would just clean it up. IMO nothing looks worse than a ground down, wire brushed frame painted with a spray can, or even worse is brushed on por15. Just my 2 cents.
I would just pressure wash it and clean it up a bit. I've seen people paint frames without detailing and painting everthing and IMO it looks like a hack job.
My friend has a parts truck that has a nice set of chrome pedals in it. It's an old 4speed plow truck that he's had parked out in the woods for years. I thought it was very strange that someone would install chrome pedals in a plow rig. There aren't any signs of any aftermarket chrome anywhere...
