Got the rear hubs all put back together and got the front all done. Went to re do the pinion seal and decided to pull the bearing and look at it turned out to be toast as well as the race so we pulled the carrier out and the pinion found the pinion had a chunk of a tooth missin that got ground up so theres metal flakes all over inside the housing its a wonder it didnt blow up on me on the way to or from work for the two days I drove it. So we put the tires on and the cover and taped up the hubs and locked in the front end to put it in the grass for a while. Gonna pull the axle and take the hubs and brakes back off and take it in to have a shop rebuild the pumpkin and see if the lock rights salvagable. So lookin at probly 500 bucks alot more if that locker cant be saved. Pinion looks like its been leakin for a long time and they ran it dry. Im just glad it didnt blow on the highway.

My son and I went to Pull A Part today to get a intermittent wiper relay for my truck. The old one went out and the used one was less than $9.00 compared to $179.95 that Ford wanted and they were all on back order.

Got to love a good junkyard.

I cut my door up some so I could put in 6 1/2 in Wal Mart brand speakers. Tomorrow I'll do the other side.

Got 2 rock chips filled (windshield) on the 350 before they morph into cracks when it gets cold.

Got the 86 all buttoned back up found a used ring and pinion in town for 50 bucks right after we bought a whole axle out of florida for 700. So just put the used set in there for now and used the old shims that came out of our truck so well see how long it lasts. Drove it bout a hundred miles on the highway yesterday and felt the hubs halfway. They were warm but nothin that aint acceptable for new bearings and races. Also ran the thing out of gas and luckily had a gas can in the bed that I just filled up. Only got 160 miles out of a tank and thought I could get at least 200. The gas in the other tank wont burn yet even with enough stabil to treat 40 gallons and 15 gallons of premium on top of it.
