Well, I fixed it. Alot happier with it now.

BTW, before my cutting ability comes into question, I didn't cut up the radio slot on the bezel. A P.O. did it, horribly. I just found a factory radio that fit the hole. Kinda. :)

Pulled the rear shafts on the 86 and found the bad bearing. So gotta put that back together and then put the front end back together and we should be good to go.

Alright thanks anyway man. You had better luck than I did. The first yard I hit as soon as I turned the corner I saw an 81 grille looking at me, but upon reaching the truck it was a Custom. I found an 80 too, but it was also a Custom. Then, I went out to the second junkyard that had the truck like mine, and it was a Custom. They didn't have anything else. I've now hit every junkyard in my county except for one out in the woods that I can't find. I'm willing to bet that one has a Ranger Lariat truck in it.

Gave the Shelby a damn good washing, lots of bugs from a 900 mile road trip and a few new dings in the paint and rad.

The weather has been great for the last few days, so the tarp has been off the truck. This morning, I woke up to hard rain. Looked out the window, and realized the truck didn't have the tarp on it.:headbang:

I'm afraid to go out and look under the carpet.

Well damn...went to look at the C6. It was in good shape, but was still in a rolling chassis (short bed, no less), hooked to a 460. So that took an extra hour or so to get out. But this looks to be a real good nice trans.

Replaced Espar hydronic heater on the 750, will repair the old one. Winter is coming sooner than later.

They use them on boats for showers.

And to heat boats. On hindsight I would have got the 40000 btu which has an injection pump/nozzle for the diesel and run all off the one heater. Maintenance is a bit of an issue with them....the screens get clogged and the glow plugs burn out. The injection units are practically zero maintenance.
