The Dentsdes we find for sale - post them here

I've heard he trailers them in from all over the west coast...and Scott says he has a shop which I interpret as the guy does a hack job rebuild and some cheap paint.

Has he ever ran an auction that didn't end early? as you mentioned i notice the holes aren't even present for the "F250" emblem on the passenger side indicating to me some sorta bodywork has taken place, and that bed certainly isn't original to the truck with that gas door on it, it just makes you wonder what else is BS about his trucks, but apparently he has no trouble selling them.

Anyone else notice he's an H2 driver, I'm not suprised.

Seems like a common thing for him. I've interacted quite a few times with him. He's a self proclaimed expert on these trucks because he's 'sold well over 500 of them,' as he puts it. It's funny how they're all original until you call him on something...then he plays stupid, 'Oh, I didn't know'...well hotshot, where's that expertise now? There are just too many holes in his stories, and have heard waaaaaaaay too much about this guy to ever actually buy something from him.

I have noooooooo clue what you're talking about, that's not a H2...that's a super rare prototype dentside...or maybe that's the start of his next all original truck...just put a dentside body on it, and he'll call it good...hahahahahahahahahaha.

I'm curious as to what kinda profit he turns on each of these highboys, if he's shipping these trucks in from all over the west coast he's obviously incurring that expense not to mention the initial cost of the truck itself, then you have the "restoration" cost on top of all that, granted these are not Concours level restorations but they must cost him a little coin, but i guess if he can pick these trucks up for a few thousand, ship them to Idaho for a few hunderd bucks then throw a few bills into a cheap paint job the profit margin might be pretty good if he's pulling in upwards of 10k for these trucks.

I'd be willing to bet he is finding fairly rust free trucks that cost anywhere from 2-4k...then he takes care of the body work and paint, and has them shipped. So I'd say he's got anywhere from 3-5k into them. Then my thinking is...he's got a couple people that drive up the bid prices...sometimes an actual bidder will win at an outrageous price (hence the 31 feedbacks). The the other times...I bet they end early so he can 'sell' them to HIS bidder...and then he claims the deal fell through, then he offers it to the highest actual bidder at their highest price...which is still probably outrageous. So I wouldn't doubt that he could probably make 2-4k on the trucks...however crooked it may be.

It would be interesting to see a truck of his up close to see what kind of shape they are really in.

I'd bet you'd see waves of bondo, mix match parts, paint with orange peel and spaghetti marks...and that's just off the top of my head.

We need a mole to see (or sell him) one of these trucks BEFORE he gets his grubby paws on it. That would be interseting, the before and after.

If he traveled this far...I'd be willing to get rid of a parts truck and see what he could whip up...hahahaha.

Yeah, probably. The only place a magnet might stick is the frame, if it's not too rusty.

Oh c'mon Buck...don't be so harsh...I bet it would stick to the turn signal stick too...hahahahaha.

I've attemped to call him out on some of his bogus claims i.e. misstatements, falsehoods, fabrications or just flat out lies, i've attempted this via email but he's never once responded to me, i never emailed him with an accusatory nature, i was just simply asking a legitimate question but yet he's never answered me, not even once, i think he knows darn well the "scam" he's running and if you're in any way highboy "intelligent" he just avoids you, he's apparently selling these trucks to the uninformed, the thing is these are really nice trucks he has and they're certainly worth something, he just needs to be more honest and not prey on the uninitiated.

That paint is dry or dull, not applied thick enough to make it shine..
There's cab back trim on it which means it was probably a two tone paint job at one time
Whats the horizontal bar hanging down in front between spring shackles ?

Somebody is gonna get a steal on this Bronco:

When is this guy gonna realize he's not gonna get what he wants for this Bronco. I think it's been up 3-4 times and he's only come down $100:

Wow...some guys are completely unaware of fair market value...and apparently the economy too:

HOOOOOOOOOOLY crap, yeah I'd say beyond a bit steep. It does look good. Folks think appraisals are the key to asking outrageous prices. When in reality, it's for the collector car insurance.

Hey Cliff...here's a 4x4 for ya...haha. I wonder what he wants for it...I wouldn't mind having a dentside I could just thrash:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1977....c0.m245&_trkparms=72:317|65:12|39:1|240:1318

Is it me...or does this '4x4' look like it has a SCS bed??? The pictures aren't really revealing, so I can't tell, it would be cool if it was swapped:

Looks like a nice start. Too bad it's an abortion of badging, no trim and a terrible interior...oh and NO 350 CC 4x4's:
