Actually I've been looking into Hookers to replace my one Blowmaster if I ever go to dual entry...

And if anyone butchers this quote, get your mind outta the damned gutter.

You mean like that?

Why? Give me a good reason to keep my current mufflers and save my money :)

You shouldn't save your money...I thought 'money pit' was synonymous with the word 'truck.' But seriously, even an expensive gpack is cheaper than most cheap mufflers...and gpacks sound waaaaaaaaay meaner.

Most folks blame the crappy sound they hear on glasspacks, but in reality that's mainly due to ignorance. It can result due to an improperly tuned rig, improperly burned fuel, or pipes are too big. They also think all gpacks are obnoxiously loud, but in reality, there are gpacks out there that you would have no clue are gpacks because they're so quiet. So the cycle of ignorant myths start and are perpetuated by people that have no clue what they're talking about. Gpacks do of course have a very distinct sound, but in proper applications, they don't sound like a sumo wrestler taking a crap, and they don't have to be overly loud.

HAHA...that woulda definitely added some spice to the post. However, those things confuse me, what in the hell kinda market research showed that would be a good name for a product? Second, they severely hampered their demographic by making them purple...you either have to be ghey to want to throw them on a rig, or have to have a rig that's plum crazy...I just don't get it.

Obviously, you're one of the ones that I was talking about in the rest of my post, that you grossly took that one part out of context. Careful there Matt, you're quickly turning into one of those cross dressing liberals that misconstrues information and takes things out of context to fit your needs.

You started it Mr Redneck

You say that like it's an insult...already forgetting your roots huh? Seems to me you only lived about 45 mins from me about a month ago. That queer cousin is really rubbing off huh?

Seriously though...back to dentsides. Matt, you noticed as many dentsides out there in Montana? I know it was nothing to drive an hour in any direction from Salisbury and 20% of the vehicles on the road were dentsides, and probably half of those were good looking rides. And I also know, you could go on a 2-3 hour drive and find 20-30 dentsides that were for sale and probably half of those were driver quality or better.

Yeah, I was amazed - the dentside practically grow on trees out here. Except that threre aren't any trees :rofl2:

Seriously though, there are ALOT of old trucks here, and many in very good condition. Also, I was surprised to see lots of SuperCabs and Crew Cabs. Very cool.

I will probably get some glasspacks and redo my exhaust pretty soon. I was going to get stainless tailpipes and then hand polish them to shine like chrome but that takes forever and sticks of stainless are not cheap.

I just had a thought.
If these trucks need a certain amount of back pressure, wouldn't the use of a glass pack hurt by allowing to much flow?

Ok,.. I'll chime in. I have dual 44" (yes, 44") Blue Streak Glasspacks on Burt and the sound is really a nice, low rumble "pokata pokata pokata pokata sound. I really like it! From what I have gathered in recent months, nobody has ever heard of Blue Streak though.. I LOVE em! I've had them on two dents during the years and have never had a problem with too much flow, etc.
I was almost convinced on putting a Borla exhaust system on, but changed my mind.

I've never hear a sumo wrestler crap, so I can't compare that with the sound of my truck:rolling laugh:

Yes!! You win the prize...:nana: but I don't know what it is... Oh! I know! You get to do the research to find out if they are still made! :rolling laugh:
Dak

I heard of them before...but I believe you were the first person I ever heard who had them when you brought it up on the other site...and since that thread, I have yet to be able to find anything about them...other than what people say on other websites...no one seems to know where they came from.

Tex...next time you have a thought...let it go (compliments to Ron White)...haha. But seriously, if you're worried about a muffler/gpack allowing too much flow, you're already in over your head. The amount of flow in the muffler/gpack is minimal compared to what proper piping can do.
