It's all about class fellas, there's a time and place for everything...and a certain amount of decorum that should be displayed at all times. I'm not a big stickler for folks not swearing, but I do cringe when it's every other word out of their mouth. My mother always told me the only folks that need to/should swear are the ones who are not intelligent enough to know a better/more appropriate word.

I wouldn't even consider swearing in front of my mom, or most women either. I wasn't raised that way. As you say Ben, there is a time and place for everything.

Back to the dent side chatter...anyone have any experience or heard anything about these products? I'm definitely going to get the glove box, just wanted somebody to vouch for it. And for the brakes...I wanted to know if I was ignorantly blinded by the price of the first so I think it's better or if it's just fluff and overpriced brakes.

First off...got a question, Has anyone here tried this glove box liner from JBG:

http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-27151_glove_box__ultimate_plastic_liner.htm

-Gonna do brakes too, but should I upgrade to these pads- http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-22591_severe_duty_front_brake_pads.htm

was also thinking of using these pads if the others are a bunch of fluff-
http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-22591A_78-79__front_brake_pads.htm

So has anyone used either of those pads...do you think they'd make any difference?

Found my 59 F250 4x4...real cheap too, good runner...problem is, it needs a cab. Anyone know where I can find 59 cab???? The truck will be sitting around and waiting for me to buy it until I find a cab. Little ol' man I had been hasseling (haha) for the last 3 years called my dad and told us to come and get it when we can come get it. Finally found one of those SWEEEEEEEET deals, the guy said he'd only take $500 for it, and that I could make $25 a month payments...haha. However, as I said, the cab is shot and has a 71 cab on it right now, but the bed is pretty cherry with minor dings. I'm stoooooooooooooked outta my mind right now.

Are there really a ton of 59 cabs out there?????? If so, shoot I'll buy one and have it shipped, could probably get it back here for the cost of the cab and shipping for under $1000. If you know of one Dak and can vouch for it...lemme know.

Sounds like a good find Ben. Hook up a trailer to the Bronco and go cab hunting. Might be more fun than shipping :)

Yeah that's a good point...I know where a couple good cabs were further east in the state...but that was 2-3 years ago...who knows what the elements have done to them, or if they've been crushed or sold already. I know of a couple within 45 mins of me...but they need a little more work than I wanna do right now. I ust wanted to throw a decent cab on and gradually fix her up. But yeah, I know beggers can't be choosers.

Not my style Dan...I like my trucks to have that 'finished' look even if they are in a state of deterioration...can't stand the mix and matched body/cab/panels/etc look.

Well I guess if ya got some money layin around then thats what ya can afford to do. We always tried to get em in the best mechanical shape first then we worry about the body later on when we are done playin with it.

Oh I definitely agree with that process Dan...it's just this 292 is a cherry, tranny is great...so I basically get to start off with body work.

Sounds like a nice find Ben. It sounds like that 59 is something you wanted for a long time. If you did find one out west or elsewhere, if would probably be worth it from the sounds of the rest of the truck. You don't see those trucks much anymore, let alone in good shape. Maybe some of those west coast guys could hook you up.

Yeah thats kinda what we got with the 72 but it just needed a timing chain and we already had a new one layin around so we werent out too much money for it. My grandpa had a truck that had a 292 in it and he said that he just couldnt kill the thing. I hope it makes a good truck for ya. Were also gonna need lots of pics when ya get it.

Yeah Buck...I've wanted one for a reeeeeeeeeally long time, probably even before I realized I wanted Red..haha. Maybe a west coast guy can find something for me, and gimme a shout. But who knows, the truck really isn't going anywhere, so no real rush.

I hope it makes a good truck for ya. Were also gonna need lots of pics when ya get it.

Thanks man...I appreciate it. I hope it's a good truck too, dunno what I'm gonna do with another one, so I might just give the guy $25 a month til it's paid off just so it can be stored somewhere other than the parent's house...haha. I'll definitely get pics when I can.

Ok, maybe a "ton" of em is an exaggeration :) but I have seen numerous ol' 59,60 ford trucks out here, as well as parts. I will most definitely keep my eyes open for you Ben, and I'll let you know what I see. What about a whole truck? It would most likely cost less in shipping that trying to get just a cab "packed and shipped" don't know, but my eyes are open!

Never hurts to have an entire parts truck...I was just looking for the obvious swap at the moment...but yeah, if you find a whole truck, lemme know.

I never knew you lived in Crest-Line.
I have been up there about 10 times or so.
I might have to come see Burt for my self someday.
Here is a pic of one of the major parts truck I used.

76SCS, it really never made it do dent heaven. I used the cab and radiator support. The inner fenders were still good and have them as extras. The hood and doors were shot. The bed was shot too. The motor in it was a 460 and I was going to use it, but it wouldn't bore right for my 521 stroker I was doing. But, the block was still good and it sits waiting for a rebuild. My bro keeps any 460 block that is good. A Farmer friend of mine took the rest of the chassis and bed to make a trailer out of it. So, for a very cheap parts truck (FREE), it was put to good use.

So Buck...how much would it take to have your brother do a mild build on one of those 460 blocks he has and send it my way? Parts? Parts & reduced Labor? Parts, full price labor and a hassle fee since it's me...haha?
