I've got plenty of buddies that sink at least 30k in to a garage...only to find out it only added about 5k to resale value.

Dang....I think it's worse with pools though....but good to know....I might get my new garage next year, summer of 15 at the latest! Can't wait.

That's quite a lot of paved surface, wowzers. Congrats on the bid, I hope it works out for you. That much garage space would be daunting. It's just asking to turn into a hoarding paradise.

I could fill it... I already use pretty much all the space available to me and then some...

Well...we came to a deal. Ultimately, they came down 9k...I went up 9k. Time for inspections. Hopefully nothing too major. Bailee's family knows the selling family really well...was one of the richest in the county until there business tanked back in 2010...they filled cosmetics (company name is Filltech)...so I'm not expecting too many deal killing issues. House sits on an acre, so still some green stuff on the ground.

Fantastic ! If I were closer I'd come see it.

Bring it man...you ever head this way, I'll have a bay waiting for you...haha. There are some things I already have on my to do list. Somebody still thought wood paneling in the 90's was a good idea, so that will be coming down in the kitchen, as well as some wallpaper throughout the house. Countertops in the kitchen will be re-done. Not thrilled about some of the popcorn ceilings, especially since they went over some of the crown molding. The biggest project I foresee right now, that can happen down the line, is there's a pretty big built in desk in the kitchen, I want to take that out and take down the wall behind, I think it'll give a much more open floor plan and give easier access to the main living room, instead of feeling like a maze. Beyond that, just have to fill it with appliances and furniture.

Open invitation to any FTF member that needs a place to crash (pending home inspection).

Great news Ben. Going everything checks out.

Thanks Randy. I've found a few good ones, a few fancier ones...but stuff just ended up not 'feeling right' or I had things like the house was pulled off the market and donated...but this one just felt right in my gut.

Ben, Congratulations to you and Bailee. Better save one of those bays for that '59 4WD! smilieFordlogo Oh, and will you have a pool table I can sleep on?

I just came in from working in my garage and was thinking how , if I had more garage, I could separate my work shop area from my supercab storing area.

In the one pic, you can see to the left of the of the 8' garage door, there's a separation, and then more building. In the separation, the family had a chicken coup (which I plan on reviving). The to the left of that are two work shop areas, one is an actual workshop, the other is where he butchered the chickens.

Thanks man. And actually, I've already vowed my next rigs to go in will be a 59 250 4x4 and a 67 Galaxie 500. I was contemplating the 79 350 sc 4x4...but that's my Elinor/white whale...I'll feel empty inside and nothing else to go after when I get it. Bleh...who am I kidding, but those two I said are seriously next on the list.

As for the pool table...I might be able to actually accomodate you with a bed, I'm the only one that gets to sleep on pool tables.
