Congrats, again... they grow up so fast! :D

If you ever want to plan a project weekend just let me know... 3 day work weeks are making me go crazy!

Careful...I've got a C6 that needs to go in the Bronco and a 460 that needs to go down to Paul and Kris.

Good Luck Ben!! sure would make one Helluva Christmas Gift for you and Bailee!!
:)

Thanks man...the pessimist in me is waiting for the deal to fall through with the inspection...so fingers crossed.

Mmmm fresh eggs. I think I'll go make some breakfast

Bailee wants a mini donkey too...told her we can't eat those...so maybe some baby pigs.

This requires a picture - Ben collecting eggs from his "girls". smilieFordlogo

It sounds dirty when you say it that way.

We had chickens when I was a kid. They are way too much work. Never again.

Yeah...I'd definitely do some settling in before I did it, but my neighbor and I did a small hen house back in the day, and I didn't mind it.

Told you the right one would come along if you were patient......

Sure did. It's actually not my favorite house we saw, but it checked off all the priorities Bailee and I had, and had the most most garage space by far. I'm an instinctual/gut feeling guy to say the least...and this one just felt right and didn't pose any of the question marks I had with the others.

More interior garage shots please ...

Ask and ye shall receive:

This is the end of the detached...the door on the left is where they used to slaughter the chickens, it's pretty deep (8'x25'), has a sink, built in work benches and should make for a good workshop. The double doors on the right should make for a nice clean storage area (10'x10')-

This is the other end of the detached with the single 10' overhead. I figure I can put 2 vehicles in there side by side facing you, and then another pulled straight in the door perpendicular to them. No, the toilet isn't attached, and yes I keep the piano. Best part is, it's already wired for 3 phase-

I've already vowed my next rigs to go in will be a 59 250 4x4 and a 67 Galaxie 500. I was contemplating the 79 350 sc 4x4...but that's my Elinor/white whale...I'll feel empty inside and nothing else to go after when I get it. .

You've wanted that SC for a while. I ran acrosss this searching for something else. From Feb. 2009.
That's pretty sweet...thanks for crushing my dreams for when I want to get some when I get a 79 350 SC 4x4...sheesh.

Yeah...I know. It's my unicorn. I've had a couple shots at projects, and even Scott's. Kinda looking for something that I can hop in and drive and enjoy without sinking a bunch of cash in. And Scott's, had it been 3 months earlier, or 3 months from now...it woulda been mine, just couldn't swing it with the house...it was a fair price, we were just too far apart due to my lack of funds.

Have a mentioned how much I hate home buying recently??? Still waiting, filed a couple extensions. My bank and the seller both got appraisals which aren't all that similar, and ultimately my bank is less than the accepted offer. So I either have to bring more to the table or get another appraisal and start from scratch.

Find out if the sellers appraiser works for any particular bank . Then go there for your mortgage.

Cough cough...was going to see if I could use my banks appraisal as a bargaining chip. The seller offered to pay for another appraisal...so I'm not going to turn them down. If it's in line with what my current bank says...I guess we can either re-negotiate terms or they can tell me to pound sand. If the appraisal is more in line with their original one, then yes, I'll go through the bank that they're affiliated with. We already swapped appraisals...and to be quite honest, the one they had done is a few months old, the comps are 5-8 miles away, and they're architecture is nothing like the house I'm buying. My appraisal I think is a bit low in comparison the comps my bank used though. Regardless...I'm going to end up in that house. I can never do things the easy way.

I don't envy you during this process Ben....ALTHOUGH....I'm jealous as hell about all the garage space!!!

We actually sold a piece of land this summer that appraised at less than what we agreed to on price, so we both met in the middle, which i thought was more than fair. I actually thought they'd do what you were thinking Ben, use it as leverage to lower the price, but we might have said, forget it and kept the land......and they really wanted it.

I figured you'd be in already, sheesh...

It does seem like a long time hut it's only been a month and closings can take 60-90 days or longer.

Thanks guys...still waiting. I suppose Christmas and New Year's plopped right in the middle isn't helping speed things up. The third appraisal is scheduled to happen, so hopefully that'll add some sort of consistency. If I had to bring another 5-7k to the table I would, but I don't want to overpay for something and be upside down on it if I were to move in a few years.
