Might just be me but I wouldn't put $2,000 into buying a non-running truck (it would have to be a very specific truck for me to do that) when you can get a running truck for that amount if you look in the right places. Now if we were talking crewcab... :wasntme:

Well, tis the 'right truck'... It has a solid body, no rust, good frame... I can see at least $1500.

I'd go with something like those, but I'd end up getting past the $2,000 mark after travel costs...

I would NOT touch that truck with an eleventygazillion foot pole for 2grand. For reference, I picked up mine for $2400. Runners are all over the place for under $2500 with as good a bodies and better paint. With all do respect, you're an idiot to pick that up and think it won't be a straight money pit (said sarcastically per the Ricky Bobby scene). So 2k up front, another grand in an engine. Figure another $500 for miscellaneous stuff plus your time. You can buy a lot of Bronco for $3500, turn the key and drive away.

My only issue is: I can't be running half way across the country to get a truck...

There is a VERY limited selection here in Georgia. Very limited.

Brohan...you're 5 hours from me. Bring 2k and spend 80 in gas and I'll get you on a Bronco.

Well, Chris showed this one to me:

It's about a 4 hour drive from where I am... If I take the truck, I can get there on a tank of gas. Might just take the Nissan up there to save a little. (More like a lot!)

there's quiet a few Bronco's in my area...here's just a couple

I know the guy who owns this one... I heard he already sold it though, and when I went by his house a couple days ago he had a (CLEAN!!) F-150 sittin' there. So it's quiet possible he has already sold it: http://knoxville.craigslist.org/cto/1792183783.html
