It's not a Bronco [confused]

That's what I was thinking. I don't get it...I thought you said you didn't have the cash to pick up a Bronco and that's why you said you needed to trade your truck? In all honesty, I say save your money until you can buy something you really want. If the only requirements are it's a Ford and has a tcase, so be it. If you're looking for a Bronco, so be it. If you're looking for something reliable with a ford badge (redundant I know Ford=reliable) and a tcase, so be it. You just need to make up your mind on what you actually want to keep yourself from wasting money.

That being said, if you offered me $1000 for a truck I was asking $1800 for, a little more than half my asking price, I'd tell you to leave and would never sell you my truck based on principal. Offering 55% of his asking price is a pure insult. I realize it's your cash to do with as you please, but unless he straight up needs the cash, I wouldn't be surprised if he just blew you off as a young punk kid. I typically start negotiations at 30% less than asking. I'm all about looking out for number 1, but I'm also about being fair and not screwing other people just because you're in situation where you can, what goes around comes around.

you will never be man enough...

Apparently you're not either. As I recall you ran screaming and crying from the bathroom when you peaked over at my stall.

Tell that to Ben.

You could really use some MagnaRx

incest much???

We're not related, and I'm originally from Wisconsin, so I haven't had a chance to keep it in the family yet.

I think you're already ghey enough.

Friends don't let Friends drive Flaresides.Especially Purple ones.

WOWZA...that hurts. But really, I always had an inclination to say 90's on up flaresides were chick trucks.

In all seriousness, with a locker in the rear, you can probably embarass a lot of lifted mall crawlers when you go wheeling. I've got one in my 86 Bronco, all stock otherwise, and love embarassing guys with lifts and 33/35" tires. Then my 69 locked front and rear with 35"s is awsome. Lockers rule!

I also wanted to mention, Chris, you shouldn't feel bad about having a flareside. In 97 my dad bought black 150 4x4 flareside new...for my SISTER. It was a neat little truck though.

Probably just be easier and cheaper to find the truck and swap beds.

I'm finding some decent 4X4's in our area that need very little (or nothing) for $1200-$1600. So- hell no, I wouldn't buy a project for that kind of money.

swap beds with what? my bed??? NO i want 2 flaresides. 1. street truck. 2. offroad truck..

And how long do you figure that fiberglass will last offroad? The first stump you don't see, the first rock you slip off, the first tree carnage you get, you'll be crying like a baby and ruined a perfectly good bed.
