Glad to help. BTW I hope you can get new nylon grommets from Ford.

Thanks Paul. What the hell kind of idiot engineering goes into making transmission pans with no drain plugs?????...what a friggin' mess. And yes, I did leave 2 bolts in...didn't help much.
The same one worked for all of the big 3
More progress...I should have bought beer.

Next will be a clean up of the floor mess and seperating the transmission/transfer case. Then a bit of figuring out and organizing the garage so I can get the box off.
Thanks Cliff...I am gonna try and get the box off by this weekend.
You going to powder coat the frame?
Yes, frame, axles, engine block, transmission, transfer case...as much as I possibly can.
Oh that is going to look so nice.
I will try to detail it (the thread) as much as I can. I have already talked with the body shop and taking pics there will not be a problem.
Looks good Duncan.
Your pictures remind me, I was gonna go out this afternoon and check the condition of my front D-shaft. I for some reason never even glanced at it. Unfortunately, I fell asleep on the couch, and now it's too dark.![]()
