Looks like you got alot done. Was all that done yesterday or over time ?

I wonder why Ford didn't offer dual front shocks on leaf spring suspension.

Agreed...and glad to finally see some damn progress dman.

I wanna know the same thing. My guess is one of his drinking buddies that came over to help on the truck????????

I have had the cab prepped for some time. Yesterday was removing the shocks, brackets, misc stuff and recruiting 3 bodies to lift it off...it went well with the exception that I missed the parking brake cable bolted to the underside of the cab...dunno about the shocks.

What's up with that little Toyota in the background? :suspicious:

Left to us in a will...gonna sell it. Great condition 1 owner 60000 miles...A/C, pwr doors, windows, cruise, tilt, command start, new rubber, battery etc...all records since new.

Agreed...and glad to finally see some damn progress dman.

I was behaved yesterday..only 3 beers...gonna try and do more today...(work, not beers :D)

Once I got the cab off I was having a look at stuff and noticed the casting marks on the transmission are pretty rough. I think I will take a die grinder, file and dremel and knock them all down before powercoating the transmission case.
I am still amazed that the driveshaft sticker is still on and legible..I wish that it could be removed and saved!

I really think that has to be the most incredible original thing I've seen still in tact on one of these rigs. How many miles was on that thing when yuo bought it?

25000 on the odometer and supposedly 125000 total, which I am inclined to think it is.

I was wondering about that drive shaft sticker too, Is it possible the drive shaft has been replaced ?
It looks like the stickers that came on replacement parts.

I know. I'm thinking about doing a little bit during each break I have from college like tear down this winter, then engine/transmission in the summer, and so on. We'll see how it goes.
