It would almost be a shame to hide that frame with a body!

Might work on it some more on Saturday. I need to get the rivet tools machined to a match of the OEM rivets..if it ain't one thing, it's another.

Serious question Dman...after being this painstaking of a process already, any chance of you getting disinterested???

Not at all. When I decided to do this project I told myself that it would take the time it will take and I have no firm completion date.
I don't want it to become a "job" if you know what I mean.
The frame certainly became much more of a project than I had figured so instead of making it a chore, I'm working on it when I have the time.

Atta boy! Heck, it took my old man 20 years to take his 73 Camaro from a car that didn`t drive, to the specimen it is now. Just sayin. Keep on trucking Duncan.

That factory weld on the cross member looks like $#!t . Was the upper part even connected ?

Yes it was, I cut it and bent it back so I could clean it up..it is a horrendous weld.
I will weld a stud to it and use a slide hammer to pull it straight then reweld it after I've cleaned up the frame rail.

Probably so...although the idea was so the powdercoat wouldnt have sharp edges to adhere to
