I will Friday. I won't be home until then if they are all good and check out what should I check after that?

Then I would do a fuel quantity test.

Not sure how... I didn't have issues with my last truck like this so didn't need to know how to do anything like that

It's just being methodical to eliminate one thing at a time. You pop off the fuel line and use a container to see how much fuel comes out when cranking (I'm assuming you have the factory pump).
It's easy to start replacing items and hope for the best...but usually that results in parts that didn't need replacing being replaced and costing money you didn't need to spend.

That link I gave you for the troubleshooting manual is very good....you should have a read of it.

I bought one for my other truck but it went with the truck I guess I should have kept it. Hopefully the battery will keep a charge enough to let it crank

Ok....there is a clue...if your battery is that weak, it can create all kinds of issues....maybe take it into your local auto store and have them load test it if you don't have a load tester.
Also....you don't know if anything needs replacing until you have checked it.

I will just buy a new battery. I don't want to replace anything I don't need to I don't have the extra money right now

Ermmm...ok....why not get it tested to make sure that is the problem....it could be a cable or connection.

The battery has need replaced for awhile. We had to Jump it twice yesterday and Sam who I got it from said I'd need to buy one because it won't keep a charge at all

Ahhh...ok, nonetheless....check the connections and condition of the cables/clamps.

Cables are brand new the connection with the terminals are good they were new. It started right up with a different battery but that one was totally dead yesterday.

Which battery was dead?...and did you change/check all 3 battery cables?

The old battery that used to e in the truck when we through in a newer battery it didn't have any trouble turning it over but the old one is shot. Yeah I checked them

I dont *think* a weak battery will keep it from having power...unless the coil isnt getting enough juice...assuming the alternator is good...

With the big tires i could see doggy accleration...but top end you shouldnt notice...if not even gain a lil...

You do know that with those big tires the speedo is off right? ...with 35s it could be reading 15-20 mph faster..so if you speedo said you were doing 50 you were pry between 65-70...if you stepped on it going that fast and had nothing left its kinda understanable :)

If its not kicking down your kickdown rod is prolly unhooked....or missing the bolt on top...

If you rule out the simple stuff i just metioned...i would make sure the choke is opening up...and a carb rebuild wouldnt hurt either...the kits are 15 bucks and it takes bout 1/2 hr assuming you have the stock 2bbl.

Ok...if you count removal and assembly say 1.5 hrs :)

Theres not much to a 2150...seriously took me 1/2 hr 45 mins or so to tear it down and have it togther...but to be fair i left the choke stuff intact...i just removed and cleaned the jets and replaced the needle, seat, float and power valve.

And you cleaned it completely removing all the varnish from inside the float bowl etc?
A rebuild to me is everything....gaskets, linkage(s), setting float, cleaning...etc.
