Fixed my trans. I was experiencing shutter in reverse. I posted the question on 460Ford and a guy told me to drill a hole(#56,57,58 or 3/64") in the end of a glass fuse,break out the glass and insert it into the vacuum line on the manifold side.....(basically a vacuum restrictor) And it WORKED...

How hard is it to add racetrack trim? I am buying a bed that has racetrack trim....the donor truck has ALL of it, I would only need to get the lower portion on the extended cab as the donor truck is a Std cab. Thanks

1979 F350 Ranger XLT Supercab. 460,C6,D70 w/3.73's,cruise,air, tilt,ps, pdb, 2wd.

A couple of years ago, I would get about $350 for a tilt Ford column...but like you said, that was a couple of years ago. Check e-bay for current listings and see what "THEY" are asking for them.

I would think anything you can do to help keep trans fluid clean would be very beneficial to the longevity of the trans.

There is 0 rust in the floors of this thing. I got in there today and scrubbed everything with hot soapy water and 409 antibacterial spray. Gonna pull the rear panels and headliner tomorrow and make sure there isnt any mouse droppings there. Then I will be looking for some sound proof material...

Gear ratio doesnt really matter. Dont need a locker. This is going into a 1980 Jeep Cherokee full size-daily driver. I wouldnt mind having 4.09.3.73,3.54 gears. That would be easy to match to a rear axle. Thanks Lance
