Started my 78. Seems the gas disappears after a couple weeks of sitting
Just took a look at the tires on the Ranger, and they were manufactured in April of 2003, so they are gonna be replaced very soon. The dealer must be too stupid to have the mechanic check the date on the tire. They have about 30% tread left, but they are starting to show signs of age so i'm gonna go ahead and replace them before anything major goes wrong with them.
I doubt the guy in bay even pays attention, because after all, no consumer pays attention just like you didn't. Had you noticed that and pointed it out when the truck was purchased, you may have gotten a brand spankin new set with the truck.
Yesterday, installed brand new chrome center caps in my wheels.
Today, I heard and saw lug nuts fly off my left front, followed by a loud *POP*, and the feeling of being pushed off to the side of the road, then the frontleft tire sliding.
I lost all my lugnuts, and the hub sat down into the center of the wheel... it came close to sliding down the blacktop, which could have been expensive. as I was doing atleast 40MPH. I just put 3lugs back on it, and limped it back home. Gonna look at it whenever I get around to it.
Drove it to work. It's only one mile - not nearly enough time to become one with my truck!
And I cursed the Bronco for only having two speed wipers.
The other day something fell from a tree (branch or acorn I guess) and broke one of my roof light lenses. I just ordered 5 new ones. Was going to go with Blue Oval but they wanted $15 for shipping. LMC wanted a little less per lense and was only $10 for shipping. It came out to $48.45 with shipping instead of $57. Every penny counts for me right now so guess which one I chose...![]()
