Nothing Personal...But the truck would have to be Appraised to determine its value.....I dont think it would sell for 8k realisticly..Its a case by case scenerio.

Seriously Ben..if you were to sell and i handed you 8k for red...would you let her go?..Be honest..hehe

The difference is...my truck is appraised at 25k...and I KNOW it would never sell for that. Appraisals just mean your vehicle looks pretty and you're good at keeping receipts. Just because something is appraised for a value, doesn't mean that's what the market can bear or will pay.

So..I just spoke with the man on this perticular rig.....He does resto work for a living in the classic car world...Best he will do is 14k, He as ANYONE of us would is not going to give the fruits of his labor away for a small price..the 460 is freshly redone the truck has 90k miles, expect 7-10 mpg which is the norm. The truck is Bondo free and no rust undercarrage, never been wrecked or abused.he is the third owner and does know its history since new along with previous owners..I did get a pretty good impression from him as an honest individual and to quote him...."It wont bother me if it does not sell and im not giving it away"

I've never run a snow plow, but that seems like an awful lot of wear and tear on an F-150 front end???

My dad's plow rig of choice was always a Bronco...never seemed to cause too much issue...but the rust always seemed to eat them before suspension was an issue.

I have Doug working for the schools....It all depends on how the driver works the vehicle..along with keeping components well greased at all times...we would grease them twice a month...and tear em down for repacking every season

^^^ Most of our 4x4's were Automatics Doug with extra coolers installed..For the kind of plowing we did...you would have needed a Bionic clutch leg....Although my truck was a 10 ton dump with plow and spreader....no one else would touch the thing it was a beast with a 4spd manual...Today the plowing is outsourced...budget cuts and no more maned maintenance dept....
