You guys have NO idea how tempted I am. If he still has it this coming weekend, I may just take the two hour ride to TC to check it out, see if it`s all the pictures say it is.

That plow has probably been on it since new. It`s an all hydraulic Meyers. It`s probably only plowed a personal driveway. Judging by the fact that it has fresh paint and the truck looks pretty nice, it`s led a pretty easy life.

As to whether or not plowing ruins a truck, sure, having a plow puts more strain on them, but if you don`t plow like an idiot and abuse your stuff, all your doing is working them. Drive them stupid and you`ll break all kinds of cool chit. They are still just trucks, not dozers. A half ton with a factory plow package didn`t come with anything more than a Dana 44.

As far as manual vs auto, that is a personal call that is dependant on the type of plowing you do. I`ve plowed with both, and am just as fast either way. But if you are doing commercial plowing I would stick with an auto to ease driver fatigue.

What`s the matter Buzz, an 8 hour one way road trip isn`t local enough?smilietease :D

Dang, that's too nice of a truck to be a plow truck. Hopefully, someone will grab that and not use it as a plow truck.

dude, that thing is hella clean for MI truck!

Got a buddy out here with a '78 150, plows with it, and it's got the ol' straight 6, and a manual, runs it with chains all the way around too. Gonna have to git ya'll some pics, ol' boy's got himself an IDI too, no plow on that one.

With some of the prices I've seen posted of trucks over that way...those prices aren't too terrible, are they???

Now that`s a sticking out there plow mount.

Yeah, I know all about priorities, but I`m gonna add a truck to the fleet real soon. Just not sure which one yet.

It does stick way out there.....

this is kinda like my dream plow truck....my two POS plow trucks are cheby and dodge, and would love to have a dent working my yard each winter!

Maybe in a year or two.....lots going on right now....wifey wouldn't be pleased with another truck purchase right this second (except for another show dent like mine to pass down to our other child coming in this world soon)....but I'm sure it's in the cards for the near future.
