I hear ya...and I'd buy that hook line and sinker if they were rectangular head lights...but I can't say I've ever seen a 79 with no work with circles. Not a big deal, just never seen it...doesn't mean it didn't happen. It is a custom level truck after all.

It is odd. I noticed the manufacture date was 06/79, so I do think that would be too late to have the round headlights. Who knows what happens over 30 years and what has been swapped, but you don't see too many 78 round headlight grills/headlight buckets swapped on to 79s rectangular. It's usually the other way around. I would like to see some pics of the front end just to be sure it has the D60F, but the VIN says so and it matches both on the door plate and the jamb sticker. It looks like the truck has been a work truck all it's life, so I can't image too many things have been swapped around. It just makes it a little more interesting seeing the round headlights.

I thought the custom trim in 79 got round headlights...

Ya, IDK. I guess I haven't seen one, but it very well could be. Either way, it looks to be a legit F350 and no reserve so it would make a good truck and I like the fact that it's still being worked.

Agreed, I wonder if somebody will get it for a steal.

After some quick research, it appears my assumption about the round headlights in 79 was wrong, can't find it anywhere in the sales brochures.

Nope...but I wouldn't be surprised if there were some escapes to eat up excess inventory.

Ya, could be another FORD phenomenon. Granted it can be explained by a simple parts swap, but won't know for sure. I wonder if a Marti Report would say anything about it. Dang, if it was closer or if I had the time to get it, I'd bid on it.

I'd almost kill for that one. has to be the cleanest surviving Indy truck out there...

My guess is probably repaint and painted on stripes...no way the original stickers lasted that long, and no way NOS stickers would have held up after 30+ years. But I always have gotten a stubby over the orange tailgate panel.

I know the stripes could never be original or NOS... But do the Indy's have the reflective stripes like the Free Wheelin' trucks? If not, paint is just fine by me. I've always liked the contrasting interiors of these rigs.
