He's still trying to sell this rig....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford...Cars_Trucks&hash=item4d08af5b4e#ht_500wt_1182

I like it alot.....he's gone from $20k down to $12k.....this is one nice rig...but as most of you already pointed out and I somewhat agree.....it's a tad overdone in some places.....may need to dumb it down a notch, but I tell you for the right price, I'd buy this rig in a second.

It is a standard.....would have liked an automtic, and it has no AC. But AC can be installed after the fact, right? or no? And would that be a ton of money to do it?

Ken, you might take a look at vintageair.com. They have some model specific A/C systems, but they don't show any for the later 70's Fords. Summit Racing lists some complete sytems(Vintage Air) for around $1400, plus installation, but once again, they don't list for a mid-70's Ford truck. Might have to go with a universal application. I did have a co-worker install a Vintage Air system into a late 40's International pickup, and he was quite pleased.

Wow, that's a lot of dough...turns a $10k rig into a $13k+ rig real quick. I figured it would be in that range. This guy spent more on chrome additions and an automatic antenna then he could have for AC.

Ken, I think that truck is an auto. It is listed as automatic in the description, and I don't see a clutch pedal in the one interior photo. That shifter you're seeing that looks like a manual could be a floor conversion automatic shifter since he has that aftermarket steering column. I know the shifter and boot is definitely not Ford stock for a manual.

Besides that - it sure looks close to your truck - a little more over the top on a few things though. Ok - maybe a lot more over the top.

Thats a pretty Stellar Truck there boys....I Dont think he will give it away imo

it is an Automatic being a 700r4.....I was looking into that shifter before deciding to go with a B&M on mine..its pretty basic with little safety features which is important to me..but i do like the manual look the shifter gives off...Pretty sweet Truck...

Yeah, that rig is 80% chrome under the hood....pretty much the only thing that isn't chromed under the hood is the block!

He started to sell it earlier last summer for $25k and everytime he'd relist it, he dropped it a few thousand till it went all the way to $14k and the highest bid was $12k.....I think I'd have bought it at $12k also knowing now it's an automatic, just because of the market and such, even though it's well worth the $25k for car show enthusiasts which is why it was built the way it was.

I've seen this rig up, close and personal at car shows and let me tell you, it is far more spectacular in person then those pictures. He's bored with it and ready for another project, but I believe he's dumped $60-70K into that baby over the last several years and has won several awards all around New England and Canada. It's nice!

Thats a pretty truck. Looks its done right. Considering all the mods, 12k wouldnt be bad at all. Also, look at nostalgia air. I think they have an ac kit for these trucks. Another option would be to ad an underdash unit too. Man, 60-70k into it over time, wow.

I think 12k is getting to 'buy it' status. I'd really like to receipts though...where is that 60-70k...in labor or parts??? If this ruck is all NOS with some eccentric mods, it's probably worth it. If it's all in labor...I still think there could be better trucks out there.

Not all NOS. No stamped letters on the tailgate says Chinese metal.

Lighted LMC rear bumper. Those are two things I would not be happy about if I were spending $12K on a truck. I could let those things slide if I were spending much less.

^^ x2 on that...Realisticly i dont think he wants to part with it...I can understand his reasoning on a sentimental basis...But we all know about the sentimental value and the real deal...

Very nice truck and love the green. He sure wants alot for it.

I don't know, the green would have to grow on me....but that is waaaaayyyyyy too much dough in this economy. Can buy a couple of nice rigs for that.

anyone call the guy? Not really interested, but curious what he thinks he can get. I had almost the exact same truck but mine wast the 460.
