Be sure to PM me your address Don. I will mail you my copy of the Volvo Performance Handbook.

I won't charge you anything if you mail it back to me at some point in the future.

They're real hard to get hold of and trade for $200+. So don't tear it up.

Stuped question, but can you scan it?

If you find an automatic 240 the clutch/brake assembly off a Foxbody Mustang is the closest fit. You'll probably have to swap it anyway as the Volvo ydraulic clutch doesn't work well with anything but Volvo transmissions. You can fab up a bracket out of barstock to hang the assembly securely.

Ebay Motors is a good source for parts and parts cars.

The biggest gain you can make off the car is weight. They're built really heavy, especially the interiors. Lots of heavy sound deadening. You can shed a lot of that and replace it with modern lightweight materials to save weight.

Some of the steel bits can be replaced with aluminum as well. There's some really good parts houses in Stockholm Sweden that can get you rally car parts. They all have someone there that speaks English and they take Visa.

Ive never had to adjust my carb for winter and summer. Bob I think that your truck will be fine up that high if its jetted for 3500. Im sittin at 5000 and took my 76 up around 10,000 and it just had a little trouble with a steep hill but I think it was from powerin out on such a steep angle. It did backfire some if I didnt burp the throttle ever now and then when I was lettin the compression slow me down the hill. This was four wheelin by the way not highway.

Hey Don, we went past there to day it is in Sunray well, near sunray and its not a PW just a old International I believe, and its in REAL bad shape..
But I do believe there is a old PW at the big junk yard down the road from the Airport, and if I remember right its the same or near the same year of the one in the picture, if its still there I haven;t been out there in a long while, they do move allot of old old stuff to the crusher.

I have plenty of project trucks in the yard, and last on the list is my '79 Bronco w/300 6 in it. My future plans are to find a decent '67-72 shortbed, cut it to length of a bronco, IE make a Bronco body out of it, and put it on the '79 Bronco chassis. I've seen it done using a '65 F100, but never a '67-72, and they should line up easier. So if you go ahead and do that, I can see it done, since I doubt I'll ever get around to it myself. Just paint it turquoise, cuz there's no color that speaks late 60's than turquoise. Sitting on 33"ers.

'smiliedoh' Um, no I need my bronco, lol. I re-read that myself, and come to the conclusion I need to type BEFORE taking another drink.
