Thats my thing tex, i dont want to have to adjust the carb due to the weather....
Plus if done right, EFI is highly reliable...

There is some really bad *** EFI systems out there, i'm going to go with the "Boss" system from Retro tek speed...

Once you tune a carb, you don't have to make changes for weather.
You'll have to rejet for changes in altitude.

See my post

Bang for the buck. A carb will always win.
EFI is ONLY as good as the guy tuning it. Most EFI tuners are NOT what they think.
A carb makes more power.
EFI does accelerate quicker.

The carb on my truck is ok. Carb tuning is difficult here. In 30 miles you can go from 1200 feet to 3500. I have mine set for top of the mountain and it runs decent in the valley.

i get paid to do this
I think he meant more that its nice to just crank and let run to warm up as aposed to having to stay in the truck for a couple minutesto make sure it doesnt stall out

I had stopped once while in maine to help a guy in a mint 68 mustang readjust his holly on the highway. he was from newyork and it was the cars first long drive. luckily i had a flat head and 5/8 wrench in the truck

There's a mountain pass east of me going into Montana. Sits at 7 or 8 thousand feet. Haven't tried it in a carb'd truck yet.

I imagine I'd be short on power at the peak.

Well when your Epic like you Tony, but for us normal people who live in place's the weather actually changes time to time, you have to tune your carb a lil differently :p like my truck loves to run fat in the summers and leaner then crab in the winters I dont freaking know why, I stopped trying to find the answer..

My guess is air density Tex... The cold air of the winter performs differently...
But that is just a wild guess. I really dont know, i know i had to adjust my carb on my 69 between winter and summer.
