How bout a bumpside 2wd short wide or a slick side with the same stuff. Ive always wanted to do one then build a monster FE for it with a huge cam and just kill the tires.

Saturday night at the drag strip

Don shows up in a Volvo station wagon.

Don leaves with fistfulls of cash and pink slips to some very fine rides.

Take one Volvo add to that a healthy small block along w/ some suckers; Bake for 1320 and out pops a fistfull of dollars and some pink slips..

There does that help..

I've always wanted to take a 7.3 powerstroke and put a 65 cab and bed on it.

Something i am thinking
Doin a v8 swap into something like that, i know goin carb is easier, but realisticaly how hard would it be to go EFI?
Everything would be comin out of my truck basically.
MAF swap would be in order as well...

Carb make more power..

Not true....
Easier power yes...
But not more.
Itd be a pain to do EFI swappin it from your truck. Maybe a Hillborn type Fuel injection like this.

Or a mechanical fuel injection like this.http://www.hilborninjection.com/product.asp?Id=37&CatId=188

I was just thinking of having all the stuff on hand...
Computer wiring everything is right there...

Yeah its on hand but its alot of hassle to get it out of the truck in one piece and then put it back in somethin else and makin it work right.

Are you have a sbftech?? You have to have 10+ post to read it but they go over this pretty intensely..

http://sbftech.com/index.php/topic,6691.0.html Topic is locked so I cant quote anybody..

Edit*
Jay Allen: I was kinda hoping that some of the more EFI types would share their experiences. Thus I would not have to ramble near as much.

Oh well.......

Bang for the buck. A carb will always win.
EFI is ONLY as good as the guy tuning it. Most EFI tuners are NOT what they think.
A carb makes more power.
EFI does accelerate quicker.

In the end, it comes back to YOUR preference.

This myth has NOT been busted. Reasoning, too close to call.

Closed.

Im still not sure which direction i will go with it, i like the idea of the fuel injection, but the complexity levels go way up with it....
Most likely will wind up carbed to be honest.
