i have 4 bolts(2 on each side of the box) that hold it in. really pain in the ass to do it that way though... BUT it is hard to get out which i like so no one will yank it from my truck.

I can only see out the top half of my back window as you see in the pic there , when you send me a FTF sticker , it will go to the top of my window.
That box cost 600$ new.

when i custom built mine for the ranger i put I-bolts in the front of the bed box. The part with the hole barely slid through the box, then i would loop a carabeaner (?sp) through bolt inside of the locked box.

No it's a regular sized box , with the ladder racks and the rail it sits on is why it looks so big , It's up high enough to where I can slide my 31X 10.50 spare under it ,

Chris mine is secured on the trac rac on my bedrails it slides back and forth , and to answer your ? , most are bolted to the bed , and you have to get inside the box to be able to steal them , takes 2 wrenches to loosen it.
Jeez, the color of your truck bears a STRIKING resemblance to that purple minivan in the background... :rofl2:

RoGrrr, lol thanks for the compliments. i would take that green bulletproof box and put it in my bed but it just won't fit. i thought i got a pretty good deal especially since its in mint condition and locks properly. hopefully you didnt get scared off because that sounds like one awesome project you have lined up. i love the psd's. when that turbo kicks in the truck hauls ass. im looking forward to your pics.

mr charles, your truck looks really awesome! that low pro box is really sweet looking. everything on your truck looks really good.

skan and frankenford, i secured my box the same way you did frankenford. it was really a pain in the ass to reach my hand under there but it will be really hard for a crim-nal to steal it. i cut my hand on my crappy plastic bed liner trying to put the nut on the bolt on the bottom. i wanted the head of the bolt in the box so it made it more difficult.

skan, i recommend craigslist for looking for a box. although you might have to look for a while to find the low pro one you're looking for.

eco, good call on the van but i like my truck for the same reasons skan does. also, it's a lot harder to load a van with a front end loader than it is a pickup.

Why have a truck with a tool box like that when you could have a van?

Easy...

Toolbox (or aluminum cap, in my case) comes out of the truck in less than half an hour if you need to haul something tall and don't want to tow a trailer for the trip (or need bed space AND trailer space).

Cuz vans are ugly and girls don't like vans :nana:

Plus I need 4wd for the snow and the towing capability for the boat ;)

You know i told my uncle that same crap. he told me.

Back in the 60s if you had a van you were cool. Hes got a 60s econoline. showed me pics of one that they made into 4wd. Ford was supposed to come out with a 4wd e series a few years back.
