A married t-case is bolted to the back of the transmission. A divorced case is connected to the trans with a small driveshaft.

Which is better?
I would guess divorced is better/more popular/smarter?

The divorced cases, such as the ones that came in the 73-77 Ford F250 4wds, are popular and sought after, IDK why.

Married cases are more popular and cheaper to make...

Probably 99% of 4wds on the road now have married cases AFAIK.

Don't make us mod this thread boys. It is a good thread and I hate to see it go bad. If you have problems take em up in pm's. Don't hijack a perfectly good thread to bicker.

IDk... my opinion of them is pretty low at the moment, as the truck is in need of a new transmission...

For me it's the 77 F150 my dad's had since I was 2 years old. I grew up with that truck. Always reliable, always tough to get stuck in the winter, and always looking good!
