I bought one of those extra cooling units for my 460 and don't know if it's just the make of the radiator or what, but the upper hose when attached is a bit more kinked than I would like it, but it's fine when the engine is running. I tried different hoses and couldn't find any other hose that would remotely fit. I do think the hose I bought was for a 460 too. No problem with the lower radiator hose.

Got an extra cooler from a member here to put in my Bronco next week...I hope I don't encounter any problems, seeing as it's replacing a standard cooler...looks to be a direct swap, but who knows.

ok!!! TY only radiator i evar had was the SC type apparently judging by the pic. so i wasnt sure what the discussion was about my 302 had the same radiator as my current 460 according to those pics

No worries...seems to be a fairly common swap...so maybe that's why your 302 had one.

Settle down, and take a couple chill pills, what did I say that was so im-matchure?
(It was some thing my friend told me,I don;t really get it,I shall edit it out of my post sense it makes you get you pannies in a bunch...
Isn't this thread about pointless post?

Hey Anthony. We're glad to see you back but we have a suggestion or two. Even though this is a general chit chat thread, it is about trucks, more specifically, dent sides.

Everybody knows your love for these trucks, so when you post in this section, keep it on the topic at hand. For general BSing and fun, come out to the general non automotive section. The same guys come out there, but they don't expect the conversation to be on trucks. In here, it should be.

I always just ask the oblivious kid at auto ho to let me go back and look at the hoses myself - usually you can find one that will work even if there computer doesn't say so.

Yeah this ones for the new truck and it has a SC from Ford so I think the deal was that they made the newer SCs with a smaller upper outlet the bottom didnt give a bit of trouble. Also a SC will fit where a standard will it just hangs down the bottom quite a ways. I tried checker AZ and parts plus and they all said the same thing. So I went to napa but the guys at napa were the only one that knew what I was talkin about.

So I was searching to the 'net to try and find out the last year for a F100 because I couldn't remember (anyone know?). And I came across this guy who made Lego model of a dentside F100, so I thought I'd post the link:

Yeah I was thinkin '83...but for some reason I always think the F100 was killed closer to the introduction of the F150...dunno why I think that, but I always do.

Gettin the Red X Anthony...and I think what you're referring to is the VIN that starts F13...I believe Buck has the plate that starts this way. I don't believe there was any resolution on what it was or why it was done that way.

Well as I said in a previous post...Buck has one of the VIN plates that starts out F13...maybe he'll see this and post the pic. Dunno really what to make of everything else you said though.

Is the A/C compressor on a 300 six the same as a 351m400?

Anthony...the best way to get into decoding VIN's and warranty plates is...get a set of shop manuals...and take a look at the first 40-or so pages...they have a break down from the F100 to C series.

Folks, I Fail To See What This Line Of Conversation Has To Do With Dentside Trucks. Lets Get It Back On Track!

I agree. Lets get it back to dentside chat. The problem is Anthony seems to divert it away.

Ok so where do you guys get your brake parts? I need pads, rotors, calipers, hoses, bearings and seals. I'm thinking of ordering through Rock Auto ($267 shipped) for most or see who has the best deals when I go to work tomorrow. I checked Autozone but I don't want to get anything from them if I can avoid it.

A married t-case is bolted to the back of the transmission. A divorced case is connected to the trans with a small driveshaft.
