Does POR 15 really work? I have seen a lot of complaints at other websites. I don't know if the people put it on incorrectly or what?
Incorrect application..the stuff is bionic when applied correctly.

After they suggested it, I think matching paint under the body would be cool, might even do the inner fenders the same.
I would definatley do that, It looks awsome like that.![]()
Then you can fukkin wax it
No I really like it
Who are you gonna have paint the truck??????? And it didn't look like there was $7500 worth of body work on that truck.
Oh...gotcha. I thought you meant primarily dents and dings and rust and whatnot. If that was the case, I woulda said they're watching waaaaay too much Barrett-Jackson.
$7500 doesn't seem bad for what they are doing. Body work sure has gone up though, but if you want a quality job than you are going to pay for it.
I've never known it to be cheap, unless you are looking at Maaco type quality. A very good friend worked at a premium shop for many years and even 15-20 years ago, some guys were paying 25k+ for paint etc. I'm very happy with this estimate...there is easily 50+ hours plus material involved for mine that I can think of and I haven't touched bodywork in over 20 years.
Of course I was thinking about some of my small town body guys. They did awesome work for half the price some years ago. I think you are getting a pretty good deal overall. 50 plus man hours alone could easily be 5 grand, than throw in materials.

$25k...damn Duncan...was it real gold in the paint? I can see the costs going up if their doing show quality and such, but still, that's almost the price of a rig like mine even in a bad economy. Less than 8 years ago, my paint job, which was done by a professional shop on the west coast, was $7k, but no body work. The paint has a little glitter in it and a purple tint.
Can't wait to see yours when its done.
That shop excelled in show quality, when the owner first started it some 30 years ago, they only did Corvettes. It's a league I didn't know even existed.
Costs add up quick on everything.
And I am looking forward to seeing this done...and best of all....it is a company truck for advertising![]()
Just so I understand this, Do you write these expenses off ?
