Nice. Sounds like you're pretty much set. You gonna do any work before installing? Ported heads? Performance cam? 1.7s?

I just want to hear it run again. Im not worried about performance, ive tried that with these motors, and to tell you the truth im not going to waist any money in just parts that give you a little extra hp. These motors run good stock, i was happy with my old one. Im just glad il have a motor in there with 0 miles.

The price does not sound bad at all. Is that a short block or long block?

In other words...will you need to get your heads reworked and use other parts from your current engine?

I hear ya. Just make sure you dont wanna do any big upgrades like cam/heads/forged internals now, because it'll save you a lot of headaches later if you can do it while the engine is out.

You're right about bolt-on stuff yielding only small gains but with a cam and some longtubes you can crank out an unbelievable amount of horsepower. Upwards of 50-100hp at the wheels.

Good call there, IMO.

Im thinking suspension, tires and gears modifications next. Pops might be getting another truck and if thats the case my bronco will be parked in the garage for a long while, and il be driving the new one.

good thing because i can do what i want on my truck, and have a vehicle to drive, then when my dad wants to restore the truck hes getting i can drive the bronco.

After the motor its fixing rust issues.
