Update on the truck.

Chris (95F350) hooked me up with a link to a motor he has in his truck. Im going to give them a try and probably order the new motor monday night.

Today i powerwashed everything, and herculined the engine compartment and undercoated. Sanded my pre runner light bar down and herculined that and installed it on the front bumper. Definatly looks killer. Cant wait to get the new motor in there, im thinking about what color i want to paint the block and heads... Not sure if i wanna leave it silver. But thats that for right now..

So you decided that the block isn't salvageable? Did you find damage?

I decided i didnt want to spend more money in machining than what it would cost for a whole new engine. Plus i get to keep my original motor.

Ah okay. Well you're gonna have lots of good parts from that old motor... Block, heads, cam, crank (maybe)... Does the new one come with accessories? Alternator, steering pump, water pump, etc etc. I'm assuming it doesn't.

Mind me asking what the new one is gonna run you up?

comes with no accessories, mine are all good. My block, heads, cam are ok, not going to trust the crank. Motor is 1275, but 200 shipping, Chris said he got his shipped for 1275 so im going to see what i can do. Yes its a roller block. And no maf
