Are you thinking about pulling it and rebuilding or what are your hopes?

Heads are off... So far it looks like only one cylinder is bad. Im thinking i need to be bored out. Motor is still in the truck and hopefully it will be out soon so i can take it apart and see whats going on from under. Hopes are that the block is not cracked, i can re hone, get new rods, balanced, all new bearing, rings, and again since its out maby a cam swap.

But its to early to tell how bad it is. I still cant roll it over with the heads off so i think shes pretty badd.

this is one of those great opurtunities to upgrade your engine.. theory i go by, dont upgrade until it NEEDS to be fixed/replaced. case in point, my suspension.. it needs some shocks, so, im going to buy some ranchos

Here are some pics...

Ive been EXTREMELY Busy the past couple of weeks so its really hard for me to get around to the motor...

Im not sure about upgrades yet untill i see acually how much damage is done. it could be expensive. It could be not to bad. But who knows at this point...

This is the only bad spot i see.

Is that your #4 cyl on the passanger side? If so that was the same one that I blew. My piston broke off the rod like 3 months later.

Yea thats cylinder number 4 pass side. Others look ok but again some are at TDC or close to and i cant see the cylinder walls. Hoping the block is ok, crank is ok, i can re hone, get new rods, get everything balanced, new bearings, new rings, new piston?, new oil pump and pickup, new water pump, and go from there. Clean it up so it looks like a brand new motor.

But those are my hopes, and i wont get that lucky...

Ive got a mindset that maby the motor aint that bad. I could have got lucky and it just be that one cylinder. But yet what about my crank? Did that warp? Idk alot of things to check out before i decide what to do.

not to mention, you did say it was hard to crank by hand, which it would be difficult, but not impossible.

a lot of pressure on that stuff when water gets in there

WOW :hammer: Those back two pistons and rods are so jacked up i cant even explain! Sister took off with my camera so i cant get pics right now...

You can see where my crank got tweeked and took out the bearings also. Not sure what i can do with this block but the cylinders dont look bad at all. I know i could get away with a hone.
