The truck in that picture is a '73-'79 'dentside' medium duty.

Yeah, I should've mentioned the Dent-Side part myself. LOL
T61 was definitely an old Bump since Dents weren't made yet.

T61 just looked higher off the ground than the roofing truck is all.

The guy that "did T61 in" got fired a few years later for something else.

He told me he'd "shifted -way- down and popped the clutch just to get rid
of that old POS". He said the mechanic said he'd warped every valve in it!

T61 was replaced with a Ford diesel with a boom and auger attachment so
no one was complaining at the time. But the replacement looked like the
picture and was prob'ly just like what all you said.

Back then, SP bought Fords for company trucks mostly, they lasted longer
with less trouble. Gelco leased trucks were what ever the driver wanted...

I always chose Chevy! LOL Get a new one in 65,000 miles, 2 to 2+1/2
years, as opposed to an extra year or two with a Ford at 110,000 miles!

Besides a brand new 350SB with a brand new QuadraJet ain't bad, right?

By 65,000 miles that little 350SB would be taking a quart of oil a day!

ps- Funny SP would mostly buy Fords since they shipped GM. Santa Fe
shipped Ford and Mopar. My '75 got shipped to Phoenix by the Santa Fe.

Always wanted to get a set of those doors simply for the push button handles.
IIRC, the doors are a direct swap for the 73-79 light duty trucks.

Just yesterday me and my son were just talking about what it'd take to
swap the handles. I never liked the handles on my '75 F150. :/ He likes
'em better.

I wanted a Bump tho!
Dangged ol' Ford company wouldn't make me one in Nov '74. :/

They look kinda like gen 8/9 push button door handles. I just wanted some because I think it would look cool and because I much prefer push button to lift style.

Oh man, shoulda took a picture of the Farm Truck with the load of brickbats
and columns he brought home last night. My son and his buddy tore down a
block wall to make way for a new one. He's been bringing that crap home to
fill the washed out ditch in the dirt road we live on.

The Farm Truck had a homemade overload system on it and I took it off...
need to put it back on. They were -Ford- springs from some other truck
with home-"farmer"-made brackets.

It's got a wood-flatbed and the columns were being used like sideboards and
the tires have worn a 3/4" groove into one side and 1/2" on the other. LOL

Farmers/cowboys and masons routinely overload their trucks the most of
anybody I've known. Got anybody/crafts to add to those two?
