302 swap

I have a 92 f-150 4x4 and am looking at buying a used HO 302 from a 95 mustang. Any issues with the swap. The throttle body is different i know. I am mainly wondering about the block bolting directly to the trans. I have been told there is no prob with the swap. I have done enough swaps of other motors there can be unexpected complications. I am sure there will be this one, but hopefully not the bolt patterns. I did search the forum for 302 swaps and found four or five posts but nothing that describes the 302 HO to f-150. I will contunue to search.

Thanks

If you look for a Maf sensor and a wiring harness from a Later Mustang or 94-96 F150 you will have more tune ability than with the AD you have now. Or do you plan on going Carb?

If were comparing apples to apples here, with two exactley the same cars but one has MAF and the other has SD the SD car will be slightly better than the MAF.

I am staying efi. I anticipate some sensors will be moved from the old engine to the new. I am going HO 302 because that is all there is in this area.

I am looking to have a good truck for killing and hauling stuff.

I am familiar with the MAF on Toyota's. The speed density deal I need schooled on.

There's not too much you can do with SD. Everyone usually change over to MAF or Carb. I plan to go Carb when I am ready to do my engine swap. You can also build your own ECM using Megasquirt.

No, MAF in the cars started early....trucks was a hit n miss thing, I wanna say 94 but OBD2 for the trucks wasn't until 96...not sure bout the cars.
