they generally don't come 17X10 in the rear. usually only 9.5 ( I think they are made this way for Mustang clearances.Tires are 285/60-17 in the rear and 235/55-17 in the front.
Sorry for the late response. There is a company in the calafornia (the name escapes me right now) that said they'll do my side glass for me. I just do a cardboard cut out of the shape I want and have to do some measurements and they'll make my side windows. As for progress, no there won't be...
Ordered my tires today for the truck, hopefully can find out what back spacing I need for my wheels now.Running 285/60-17 on the rear and 235/55-17 on the front. hopefully it will give me the stance I'm looking for.
not yet. Going to order the LMC one with the fine bars when I get a chance to do an LMC order. I'm ordering with caution as I know their stuff can tend to be crap. If their grille turns out to be crap I'll most likely use it as a template and fab my own. As you can see in my avatar my truck is...
I'm personally a fan of the billet grilles and I know LMC makes two different styles and Strut also makes a completely different style. These grilles are not for everyone that is for sure, but if it's your style build your truck your way and check out those companies.
My boss has a 1992 4 wheel drive Ford Explorer and she's been complaining that it's been clunking while going up steep hills and acelerating. The noise is not there in 2 wheel drive so I'm assuming that the problem is in the transfer case or the front driveshaft. I haven't heard the "clunking"...
Small update on this project. While they are not everyones cup of tea I always wanted this truck to have suicide doors, it's how I always pictured it. So I have placed an order with SuicideDoors.com for hinges and door poppers. The next purchase I make will be the 4-link rear suspension from...
Anything can fit if you're willing to work at it. Nothing is going to slip on like it was made to be there. that's the joy of Custom work. While you may be able to buy a kit that comes damn close. I know Fatman Fab have an mustang II front end on their shop truck. they are a great kit and...
It all depends on what you're planning on spending. I put a 72 LTD II front end on mine, i've heard of a lot of people swaping newer crown victoria front ends onto the older fords. You can buy a nice kit from Fat man fabrications, or mulitple other companies. You can also buy a bikini clip I...
may be of interest to someone. a little hard to drive but fun to buildhttp://cgi.ebay.ca/AMT-M-K-1979-FORD-F350-4x4-PICKUP-460-FACTORY-SEALED_W0QQitemZ390120928227QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5ad504f3e3
Welcome to the site and send me your doors and dash I can't find any up here for a reasonable price. You send me your doors and I'll send you a potato and a lobster haha. Can't wait to see some pictures, and I may be in contact to get a few pictures taken of a few parts on the interior that I'm...
This is a picture of the grille I got from LMC comparing the two types of grilles. As stated by many members on here it doesn't look like the best qaulity of stuff, but if I get a descent warranty with it then I'll be most likely going with the 4mm just to get me mobile and if it falls apart or...
So far LMC customer service has been great they even sent me pictures of the two styles of grilles which I will post later on. I just sent an email requesting more information regarding their grille shells and I'll post their response when I recieve it. I'm still treading carefully since...
She'll sit much like she is in the picture, she won't be slammed by any means. Like said before everyone has a different style. I'll definitely build to my style there is no question about that. Maybe I'll turn some people to the lowered style as my build goes on.
I've posted a few pictures but if anything would ever spark interest it would have to be this picture. At work can't see it, hope I've posted the right one.
just like the warm welcome I got at ford-trucks haha. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of things but that doesn't mean their shouldn't be a section for it. In fact it actually supports my idea even more. If the majority of the people on this site don't support the lowerered lifestyle then they most...
While we may be few and far between I was wondering if in the special interest section of the board could there be a "Lowered" section. There is not really a section to discuss or show off the lowered blue ovals we have or to discuss setups. Just a thought.TAG
I actually had originally planned on doing a whole custome front on the truck but decided against it because I didn't want to lose the look of the truck that I loved. I will be looking for another front end of a truck to play around with. Something to modify and if I don't like it then I can...
LMC with a 5 year garuntee on the finish of the shell looks mighty attractive over 550 plus crazy shipping charges and border fees i'm looking at well over 700 for a grille shell from DC. This is a cruzing in fair weather only truck, not a work horse or daily driver. I think the LMC may be...
