that cam looks good besides the advertised duration. i dont know how melling does theirs though. and a 107 lobe seperation is quite tight... id look for 110-112 for a smoother idle and broader torque curve.

dont buy msd wires... buy taylor, moroso or livewires (but they are huge). msd makes some good stuff, but their wires arent the best at all. dont buy their chrome coils either because they are a made in china junk product.
a guy i work with wanted it so i sold it to him for the right amount and bought a demon. i have been reading about pro systems and a couple other carb places and really got stuck on them and ended up buying one.
i can't stop buying stuff for my truck... i bought a HVH super sucker carb spacer today and tomorrow or saturday im going to be getting a pro systems carb. does anyone else spend more on these trucks than should be legal? i must spend 150-200 bucks a week on my truck. dang i need help.
i want a stock radio..dont car if its am or am/fm...whatever. doesn't have to work, just has to look decent and be complete (and cheap). i dont want to listen to a radio in my truck, just dont want a hole in the dash anymore.
i've worked on my buddy's jeep with a 350 when i was 17 and it wasn't as easy to work on as i thought it would be. changing spark plugs with headers was a nightmare. i think the people who say they are the greatest things since sliced bread haven't seen anything outside of a sbc in their lives...
exactly.. is there any other 5 liter engine that wasn't race breed that runs like a 302 for the price? nope.you can get a stock 5.0 gt, put afr heads, 1.7 rockers, edelbrock intake and a holley carb and make 400 hp with stock cam. thats pretty impressive imo.
9.7-9.8:1.. i changed to a different head gasket so i dont know for sure this time. i would expect an easy 425 but more wouldn't surprise me... not bad for a 400 with a hyd. cam, vacuum secondary carb and pump gas...
Aussie heads are just stock iron heads from a 302c from austrilia. They are just 2v heads with closed chambers. The closed chambers, with the correct pistons (.035-.055" of clearence), will create quench(turbulence actually) which does a better job atomizing the fuel and will let you run higher...
572 is as big as you can get with a factory block with a 4.5" bore (really good block) and 4.5" stroke..anything bigger than that is aftermarket blocks with 4.625"+bores and tall deck blocks and of course stroker cranks(6" or so).545 is probably the best way to go. keeping good cyl wall...
oh crap...i forgot some of the best engineering on this truck..there is tin roofing material shoved up in the passenger side wheel well for an inner fender! ill get pics tomorrow.as for the torch marks? who knows lol. too many cocktails is my guess
the guy took them off to see if there was fluid in there when he got it. im going to have my axles rebuilt with 5.13's and detroits when i get this thing in my other truck so i'm not afraid of some surface rust.it took me 2 years or so to find a deal on one close at the same time i had some...
