off road unlimited's kit is 2.5-3'' and that is the shortest one i've seen. how much lift do you plan to get from the s/d springs? i've only seen coilsprung ttb trucks with solid axle swaps use s/d springs, and it looks like they end up with about a 6'' lift from it.if you are trying to do...
as been said, leave the overdrive off for in town driving. if you don't plan to go faster than 55 you don't need it. it's the weakest gear in a tranny, and you gain nothing but excess heat build up by using it at lower speeds.
yes, except mine is black and rust with a sprinkle of crust thrown in for character. the only way i could get water to flow through it was at the blown out seem on the side.
yes, i already said they were the only place i could find them. i don't want to wait for shipping.i guess i'll just stick with the rig i made then.well that sucks. maybe i'll still look into it, but i doubt it.
if you can find it that would be awesome. i just tried all the sites and still came back with the same results. the only thing that pops up is the screw in carb filter or sorry no results.
doubtful unless they have a magic trick that partsguyed doesn't know. they wanted $7, so i'll be damned if i'd pay $22 for a 4''x1.5'' filter.you sure? i'll check, but i avoid them and there site. i hate autozone.
this goes along with a recent question of mine. my bronco didn't have bottom straps holding the tank in. as far as i remember my other 78 bronc did. this current one only had top straps and the skidplate holding it in. let me know what you find when you get a bronco tank, because paul couldn't...
i've been seeing ridiculous ordinances like that popping up around here. like you can't have a b b q grill with in 20 ft of a curb. what if you don't have a backyard? no grilling at all?
it was just bad all together. a choked down emissions 460 is not a happy motor to begin with. was a nice truck, but that particular setup left a lot to be desired, was hard to believe it had a big block under the hood.
don't worry about what year it is for the 80's trucks, just take a look. easy as that. an 8.8 has a cover. a 9'' doesn't. there is no way in hell you could mistake them. and the tags are dead simple to read to know what you are getting. if i were you i'd be looking for a 9'' with a tag reading...
