Nice truck and congrats on the purchase! Been looking at them myself so i was wondering if you could detail the deal you worked (down pmt, purchase price, financing specs etc)Looks almost too nice to drive!
according to my shop manual, X15 stands for F150 supercab 4x2.there is nothing about styleside or flareside is in the VIN. the only way to tell is your door jamb sticker, in the body code, your truck should have a "C" as the 3rd digit for supercab flareside. a styleside supercab would have an...
that motor looks like a regular lo-po 5.0L not an HO. I would check that closer, the computer and upper intake which you need for EFI are different if it is a plain 5 liter. if it is a lo-po motor, the pistons, cam and heads are different than the HO motor.an easy way to tell will be the fuel...
i would never spend that much on that truck. you would never be able to get that money back out of it. also, I would NEVER take a truck more than 5 years old to a dealer....i'd rather flush my money down the toilet.
I have seen these before. it is a 10.25 semi floating as someone else said here. From the shop manual, the axle is rated at 5,300 where as the full floater is 6,250.
why not just mount the fan inside of your stock shroud. use the zip ties through the rad and the existing mounts for the shroud. either that or get a mark viii fan at the junkyard.
Hi LArry!
My 94 supercab has those seats. allows for so much more usable room back there. The truck is an XL stripper model that had a vinyl bech seat originally. I guess they put them in the base model trucks. What color was the interior? mine is blue.
has anyone mentioned outer U-joints at the front axle? you said it is when you turn, I know they are not engaged in 2wd but they still have to flex when the wheel is turned....
what truck could you get a computer from? F150's with a 5.8L weren't offered with a manual transmission, only the E4OD. will a 5.0L MT computer work since they were MAF 94 and up? you could also try a F250 5.8L manual computer but i don't think they were MAF.
because the 90 302 has a different firing order than the 351. The mass air trucks of 94+ got the HO and 351 firing order so a computer swap would not be necessary on those years.
