But hold the phone, i also put in atleast 30-40k miles of highway a year.
So that would be about this time next year.

oh yea, alvin i went through some of your pictures and looked at your swap.
very interesting...

{Cool, thanks! :}

...its a 73-79 (dent) with pedals and accesorys for a 87-96 swapped in.
Nice looking though.

and you really like knives....

wasup with the horse knawing at the mt lion?
The "horse don't like dead lions put on it" pictures were sent to me by a guy
on the knife newsgroup "rec.knives" but "looks like some of the same country
we've hunted lions in" -lion huntin buddies

My favorite lion huntin' horse -Lightning!- had been grabbed by a lion when
she was a filly (had the scars) and wasn't bothered by -dead- lions at all! LOL :)

She got hurt real bad and gave her over half a year to heal up. :(
Couldn't bare it, I couldn't let her go to waste, we made jerky out of her. :)

-------------

Cowboys use and use-up knives like crazy and got into making and fixing
knives for them. First one I made was '79 from a high speed steel power
hacksaw blade we cut railroad rail with. Yep! ;) Some are the same "thread
tap like" hardness from the tips of the teeth all the way to the back edge
of the blade! LOL :) No kidding... 63 to 65 HRC M2 HSS

I've never sold a knife, been offered over $300 for one a few times but
don't ever want to get into making 'em for anything but fun-and-need!

Pocket knife repair is one thing I can do I'm really proud of.
That and railroad signal re-wiring. LOL :)
Not many can do either one, is all there is to that tho. :/

--------------

Can't think of a single thing I've swapped into my Dent from a "metric
vehicle". ;) Thanks for saying it was "Nice looking though", tho! LOL :)

{edit}
I think I know what you mean now, the brown truck is my '91 Bronco...

...it's brown. And friggin hot here! :/ Gonna paint it white or shoot it.

Ever think of getting another truck and using your A/T-one for parts? :)

your the 50th person that said this to me, seriously. I have a connection to my truck, when the 2nd tranny went out, it was considered to let it go back to the bank and get another truck, buti could just let it go, it made me sad.

If i could find the exact truck just in manual, i might do it...

Yeah and you can't make jerky out of it either. :/

But your "new" truck will have lots of parts from the "old" truck! :)
Huh? :)

Like the '91 F150 (inherited from my stepfather) will live on in the '91 Bronco.
Bench seat first and foremost. He went to buy a white Bronco in '92 and
came home with a brown '91 F150 StooperCab "smokin' deal". :/

And he tried to add a handle to the A pillar. (he wasn't much of a mechanic,
great manger, but no mechanic) and glued a "Lake Tahoe" medallion over the
big ol' hole he drilled in the plastic trying to find some metal in there. LOL :)
I'll move that over to the '91 Bronco and the dash mat with his initials on it
"JWW", etc etc.

Even the front 2wd stuff. ;)

YMMV?

Check out the center section floor in these pics...
http://www.fordtruckfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18788

you will see the bead roll line in the center hump. That is your cut out line as to where the manuat transmission cover will be. The center of that needs to be cut out so the manual can stick up through a little, also allows a little access to things related to the trans.
