Killed the cheapo lockrite in the rear end of the 86 swapped what was left of it back out for regular spider gears. Went to a junk yard and got some bronco seats and put them in. Found a truck there that has a 5 speed with a blown transfer case gonna be savin up for that.

Oh I know. I expected a price like that. I'd pay it if they had the bezel too, but it's just the nameplate. DC has the newer 87-91 dash nameplates for like $8 each. I have a whole bunch of those, but I don't need them.lol.

I may eventually pay the price because they're NOS, but only if I don't find a Ranger Lariat bezel, and have a good condition uncut bezel to put the nameplate on.

Wired the glowplugs into a pushbutton on the dash, swapped gauge clusters as PO had put a gas cluster in it, put in new(used) clutch pedal assembly as the old one was broken, welded the body piece back in that the pedal assembly bolts to under the dash, Put exhaust on with a glasspack since before it dumped out right underneath the cab (MUCH BETTER!), Swapped starters for one my buddy had layin around, put new (used) headlight switch in, Hooked up speedo behind cluster, put new chrome trimmed headlights and grill in, and straightened out lower valance.

Clocked the clutch arm where it needed to be yesterday and also installed the one that eliminates the bushing....took forever. I felt like a blonde nympho, laying on the floorboard of a dirty truck drenched in sweat and getting frustrated cause the seat adjuster was pokin me in the buttcheek.

Nope, it's a big block and it sounds pretty good IMO... Probably won't be that way for very long, I have another bed and a goose neck hitch to swap on/in...

Took the class 5 reciever hitch off the 85 and put it on the 86. Also found out that the 7/16" grade 5 bolts that I threw in there are good enough bolts to haul another truck with. Put some new 1/2" grade 8s on it this time so I dont have to worry about it.

Pulled the tranny on the Bronco. Looked it over. Threw it back in...gonna put a shift kit in it the next couple of days and hope that takes care of any remaining issues.

Replaced the number 7 injector, which came out in pieces and tightened everything down...she purred like a kitten then I ran out of Dizzel.

Realized that even with a sunshade in the windshield and a tarp over the F100, my interior is still way too hot.

I need to build something to keep the sun off the truck. I will not be happy if things start cracking down the road.

Pulled the passenger side of the front end down on the 72 to try to find a leak. Looks like its the inner axle seal to me but gotta do some more lookin to see if theres some sort of seal that seals off the outter hub from the oil in the knuckle.

roll you windows down during the day since the tarp is covering it... that way it doesnt hold heat in so heavily.....
