Wait till this hits eBay. Not mine, it belongs to one of the guys at FSB. Original 4500 mile 79. I talked with the guy that owned it before this guy bought it and the price was upper 20's. More than I could afford to spend on a play toy. I'm guessing close to 28K is going to be needed to buy it.

From the Marti Report:

S 400-2V Engine
H Dark Brown Metallic Paint
U150 U-150 Bronco Wagon 6100 Lb. GVW
DT1 Sand Cloth/Vinyl Ranger XLT Bench Seat / White
Fiberglass Roof
G Automatic Transmission
16A 3.50 Conventional Rear Axle / Adjustable Steering

Your vehicle was equipped with the following features:
- Full Air Brush Stripe
- Ammeter and Oil Pressure Gauges
- Reduced Noise Exhaust System
- Adjustable Steering Column
- Goodyear Brand Name Tires
- Mud & Snow Tread Tires
- Bright Low Mount Western Mirrors
- Speed Control
- Handling Package
- Air Conditioner
- Rear Seat
- AM/FM Stereo Radio
- Privacy Glass
- Visibility Group
- Console
- Dual Electric Horns
- Protection Group
- Bright Grille
- Heavy Duty Suspension Package
- RangerXLT Package

Not my truck.. I only had the pleasure of wiping it down and taking the pictures.. and driving it of course!!
Hope you enjoy the pictures!

WOW.
I thought all those stripes were stick on .

They are, they are not air brushed at all. I find it odd how Ford called these graphics air brushed and the regular Free Wheeler stripes stripes. Does that make sense. :suspicious:

Holy spit...Is that another Dave special???

It is. IIRC the guy that bought it paid over 20K for it. If I know his buddy it will take 27-28K to buy it. I'd love to have it but just don't have that kind of chump change hanging around that I can blow on another Bronco.

Edit: After reading some of my PM's with him it looks like his buddy paid over 30K for the Bronco. Could this be the first 79 Bronco to sell for over 35K? I wouldn't doubt it.

This is what it looked like when he bought it. Rear bumper replaced with original and ditched the running boards.

^^^Good God...no secret I'm the biggest nay sayer to asking price...but to me, that's worth every bit of 32k, pending parts used.

I agree with you Ben!!! That rig or this:

For the same money! Which would outlast the other and/or outperform the other?

It's a lot of money and worth it to me as well.....just not what the wifey and I planned on spending for our kids when that could pay one year of Ivy League school for them, which is what we're shooting for; an Ivy League education for the kids fully paid for when they're ready to go.

^^^My favorite was...'For 32k, I could build a couple that nice'...hahahahahaha. Bet he has 10 in the paint alone.

Also enjoyed the...'it'll be ruined the first time you take it through the mud hole'...different breed of folks I suppose...probably never had, and never will have something that nice...so they just don't get it.

It's nice, but that exhaust would be the first thing off.

Scratches in the grille shell, door panels need to be re-colored, some wear on the steering wheel.

I could not believe this when I read it.........didn't even bother replying, wow!

For $32k that guy could build two of equal quality? 600HP? The wheels may not have been the best choice (still a show stopper with those wheels), but he's got 5k just in tires and wheels alone!

Tons of criticism, but I think Ben hit it on the head that those never had nor will ever have something even remotely of this quality of build.
