Might not be to your standard, but maybe fix as you go. Looks descent and not rusty.

I like that one a lot......it doesn't have to be a super show truck....but this almost looks like a good one to work with.....I'd want it automatic and a few other things and wonder if AC can be fitted on this or not.

I like it. Thanks for posting.

^^^Seriously thinking about buying it......it's almost too good to be true....The exhaust looks like it needs to be changed and there isn't ac, a little bit of surface rust underneath, but that's about it....I love it!

A/C no big deal anymore. They make kits for that for around $800-1000 now

Last one I did in my 56 even had defrost!

That's not bad at all.

Did you buy it?

I think even 25 is ok for my situation, but might have been more enticed had there been other bidders or if the price was closer to 20.....going to see what happens with the relist.....not enough time to kick the tires and ask all the right questions.

I have a hard time spending that kind of money on something I can't go look at/ see/ drive

Suppose you win, fly in with the family, annd go to drive it home and it's a painted up PO crap?
Not saying that to be true, but I just don't see it.

I guess my glass is half empty. LOL

I'd take one negative feedback if it was crap, then fly home.

Get a bunch more pics off him, wouldn't hurt, then make up your mind!!! Maybe a good idea to sell your trucks first? Or at least fully make up your mind.

Both my 77 and 79 dents were purchased like that and both were as good, if not better in person than what the ad portrayed, but that's because I did plenty of discovery prior to flying out as most on this forum remembers.......before I see this one, I'd need a ton more pictures, maybe a video of it starting, some history, records, etc.

I've never bought sight unseen, that would be a whole new thing for me.
I assume there are good honest people out there

I know if something is in my area someone wants me to look at for them I'd be on it like a pig in poo.

Yeah, I'd spend the $500 for a look.

A $500 round trip ticket would be good insurance.;)

Yeah, I'd spend the $500 for a look.

More often than not, r/t tickets are cheaper than one-way tickets.....when we went to get both dents, the 77 in Washington state, and the 79 in SC, we bought r/t tickets.

The auction is back up and it has a "Make and Offer" button.....I wonder if he'd take $20.

Never know until you try. Get him to send you more pictures. Post them up so we can all help make a decision

Doesn't make sense does it ? I guess one way tickets raise red flags with homeland security or nsa these days.

I never really understood it either Mark....I think it's partly because, they can't fill those seats going to that planes next destination, or they have to seriously discount it as a last minute seat.
