Son Wants To Buy '99-'03 - 7.3L PSD

Hey guys,

My son wants to buy the following:

'99 - '03
7.3L PSD
F250 or F350
Long Bed
Crew Cab
4X4

I would prefer that he buy one that has not been chipped and abused and driven like a race car as he will not be able to pay for the "possible repairs".

Just thought I would post in case someone had one or knew someone that might be selling one.

He claims that it must be the things above so he can have his tool box and still have room in the bed to haul stuff.

Thanks,

Jeff

I'd laugh at my kid if he wanted to buy a diesel... you know damn well that when it breaks he is gonna come to you with an open palm cause no kid can afford $1000+repairs!

Tell him to get a Ford Taurus and put his tools in the trunk and when it breaks it can be fixed with cheap *** parts...

Son works for a lot of farmers:
1) Bailing hay
2) Hauling hay with a 5th wheel trailer (large round)
3) Likes to hunt and camp
4) Carries his 4-wheeler to local parks that allow riding
5) Would rather be seen in a truck instead of a car
6) His gun rack will not fit in the back window of a car

What I need to find for him (he is paying) is an older couple that used to tow a camper and they are now to old to do so and need to sell the truck (in good condition and low miles).

Thanks,

You want to be my dad?

:D

No way....

My twin boys are 18 and seniors in high school and hopefully will be off to college next year.

The one that wants to buy a 7.3L diesel pick-up bought his own '91 F250 gasser and his own 1996 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 motorcycle (both used of course). He buys and maintains his own "toys". I help out in pinch, but he pays me back.

My son is the last of a dieing breed... kids that work for what they want and do not expect their parents to give it to them. No on occassion, my wife and I help and do things for our kids and we pay for somethings... as long as they are active in school, play sports or work and stay out of trouble.

As much as I love my kids.... I can not wait for them to move out and eith join the military, go to college or get a job (those are their only 3 choices they have). Moving home and having mom and dad take care of them is not a choice offered or available.

Not to take this off topic, but I'm glad somebody is making their kids grow up..

I plan on getting out of the house, as soon as possible, hopefully within 6 years at the most (I'll be 21 then)

I know people one guy who is 26ish, still lives at home with his parents, still has curfew, and isnt in a hurry to move out at all..

Another one is a girl, 30something, lives at home, no BF, and in no hurry to move out either..

That would drive me crazy, living at home with my parents that long, but I guess it doesn't bother them.

How far afield are you/he willing to go?

Seems like when I've been bored and surfing what was available for sale, trucks like that are a lot more common in Texas and Arizona than anywhere else.
