Below is a list of RECALLS on Ford Trucks: I realize this is in the superduty Sub-thread, but there are sufficient super duty,as well as F150,F250,E150,E250 and Excursions, Explorer, Ranger, etc...I will try to keep this updated as I get the recall notices, but if you have any to add, feel free to do so. They are in no particular order yet, but I hope to soon create a database to organize them into a searchable yet readable form.
2006 FORD E-150 RECALL - Wed, 07 Mar 2007 08:19:10 EST Defect: on certain trucks, passenger cars and sport utility vehicles, the windshield wiper motor may have been produced without grease being applied to the output shaft gear.
Consequence: after a period of continuous use on the high speed setting, lack of grease on the output shaft gear may cause the gear to distort or fracture during operation resulting in a loss of wiper function. inoperative wipers under inclement weather conditions could cause a crash due to impaired visibility.
Action: dealers will inspect the wiper motor for the presence of grease and grease the wiper motor gears if necessary. the recall began on november 22, 2005. owners may contact ford at 1-800-392-3673 or lincoln/mercury at 1-800-521-4140.

Consequence: these hot particles may ignite the air filter element with the potential for air induction system damage or underhood fire.
Action: dealers will inspect and replace the air filter element. the recall began september 27, 2004. owners should contact ford at 1-800-392-3673. also ford is extending the limited warranty (for a one time replacement) of the abs module for a total of 10 years or 150,000 miles from the warranty start date, whichever occurs first. if your vehicle has already accumulated more than 150,000 miles, this coverage will last until september 30, 2005. Consequence: the electrical short may cause an abs malfunction that would illuminate the abs warning light, or the module may overheat resulting in a burning odor, smoke, and/or fire. this condition may occur while the vehicle is being driven or unattended.
Action: dealers will install a new fuse in the abs circuit and install a heat shield over the abs module. the recall began on october 15, 2004. owners should contact ford at 1-800-392-3673. also ford is extending the limited warranty (for a one time replacement) of the abs module for a total of 10 years or 150,000 miles from the warranty start date, whichever occurs first. if your vehicle has already accumulated more than 150,000 miles, this coverage will last until september 30, 2005.
