Ditto, blower to me is a twin screw, supercharger is bracket mounted, and turbo is turbocharged, but thats me...

Jack, didn't they used to also refer to blowers as huffers once upon a time

Sounds familiar........I don't think I've ever used that term before, though.

Unfortunately, I think the modern definition for huffer is breathing in aerosal paint from a bag.:(

Understand that twin screw is not the same as a roots.......yet they are both Superchargers.

There are also centrifugal superchargers that are very related in design to turbos. (mostly if not exclusively bracket mounted)

Supercharger simply means a compressor driven off the motor via belt.....doesn't matter where it's mounted.

Turbocharged is a compressor driven by exhaust gasses.....no parasitic losses (some back pressure and lag, though,)

Both a turbo or SC force air into the motor.........hence blown.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.....smiliestirthepot

Same thing they say about bow-ties????:guns:

I don't know about that one, I always thought it went like.

All throtle no bottle. or

Bottles are for babies. or

Injections great, but I'd rather be blown.
