Plug Gapping Question

When I install my plugs I'm also going to be using all the parts from the 6 Liter tuneup (MSD Cap and Rotor, MSD Blaster Coil, Motorcraft Copper plugs, and Ford Racing plug wires) but I'm not going to bump my timing, the tuneup talks about increase the plug gap from stock (.042 to .055) but since I'm not going to bump my timing should I still bump my plug gap?

I was gonna say, the timing won't have anything to do with the plug gaps....It's all in the coil and upgraded parts that go along with a 6L tuneup....gap them badboys...

if you did the tune up itd be a waste not to gap them plugs, so gap em

Gap em...but I'd still check in a couple hundred miles how they're burning.

Did oil, air filter, Coil, and coil. Still need to do cap and rotor, plug wires, plugs, and clean IAC. Seemed to run a bit better.

What do you mean which way to put them on cap? which end of the plug wire? usually the 90* end goes on the cap

yes it matters. You have to follow your firing order

It isn't labeled on the cap, how will i know which is which?

when you changing the plugs and wires. do them 1 at a time!!! ONE!!

Lay out all the new wires shortest to longest.

when changing the plugs and wires pull the single plug wire off and match it up with the closest length new one..

this is so you dont mess the firing order up..

#1 is labeled. Then you have to follow the firing order for your engine.

EDIT: Like Chris said it is best to do them one at a time so you don't mess it up. I've done it by removing all at once and one at a time, depending on what I was doing. But it is probably best for you to do them one at a time.

usually every cap ive come across has a mark under the cap for the #1 plug then you can go from there and do one at a time to avoid messing up or confusion
