When I use to work on big rigs and this happened to me a few times during a really bad heat wave the good year tire man told me they call it unzipping. Massive failure of the side wall with the top trade I found out why they called it unzipping when one tire went on me and the guy I was working with one day it made this really neat ziiiiiippboom!! sound it will ring your bell pretty damn good to.
But those were goodyear tires so they were all ways blowing up out.
