New Ford Everest Tremor SUV - Is it Coming to the US?

New Ford Everest Tremor

It is essentially a Bronco, and Ford doesn't want to cannibalize sales of the Bronco in the US by making the Ford Everest available to the US market, so that is likely the main business decision keeping it from being sold in the United States. You would think it would do pretty well, as it looks good.

Quick background on the Ford Everest for those who aren't familiar with it:

The Ford Everest is a mid-sized SUV produced by Ford since 2003. It was developed primarily for the Asia-Pacific markets, where demand for robust, off-road capable vehicles with family-friendly features was growing.

First Generation (2003–2015):

The first generation of the Ford Everest was based on the Ford Ranger pickup truck platform. It was introduced as a rugged, body-on-frame SUV with three rows of seats, aimed at families needing a versatile vehicle that could handle both urban and off-road environments. This model featured a strong, boxy design and was powered by a variety of diesel and petrol engines, depending on the market.

Second Generation (2015–2022):

In 2015, Ford launched the second generation of the Everest. This model represented a significant upgrade, with a more refined design, improved interior quality, and advanced technology features. The second-generation Everest was still based on the Ranger but incorporated modern safety and connectivity systems. It also featured enhanced off-road capabilities, making it a popular choice in markets like Australia and Southeast Asia. Ford introduced the Terrain Management System in this generation, allowing drivers to optimize the vehicle's performance across different driving conditions.

Third Generation (2022–Present):

The third generation of the Ford Everest, unveiled in 2022, continues to build on its predecessors' success. It offers even more sophisticated technology, increased comfort, and improved performance. The design is sleeker, with a more aggressive stance, and it comes with a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems. This generation also emphasizes fuel efficiency and environmental considerations, with a focus on cleaner diesel engines.
