How bright are they compared to Silverstars?

yes, I may go with the slight blue tinge bulbs but keep the watt rating legal (and not have to worry about the harness!)

It's the lamp's optics...sharp cutoff...look dull from the side.
Roy...how would you like a set of 55/60 H4 Siverstars with about 5 hours on them...no cost other than shipping.

I had a set in my one Explorer and they kept burning out the dimmer switch, other than that whey were great.

That's weird...the draw is the same....

That's what I thought but I burnt up 3 of the mutiswitches then pulled them and used regular lamps and it was fine. Each switch lasted a few months then they started to act up.

I've had a set of Hellas in my truck for a couple of years and am very happy with them. I installed a set of silverstars in the Hellas yesterday, and I didn't notice much difference between the original bulbs that came with the Hellas and the silverstars. Seems the original bulbs are pretty decent bulbs.

How can you change the tint?

Hi Cliff, sorry, I went out with wife for dinner. You can get bulbs with a coating on them that changes the color of the light. You may have seen the bluish looking head lamps, or even the yellowish ones. I've even seen purplish ones.
But the main reason for the purchase is that I can replace just the bulb now instead of the whole lamp. Another plug & play

It's just a brand name, but a darn good one, German. It is just the same as modern head lamps where when the bulb burns out, all you do is replace the bulb, not the lens assembly like the sealed beams.
